10 Preparation Tips for SBI PO 2018 Exam

SBI will held Probationary Exam for the year 2018 in the month of April 2018.

The candidates who are appearing for this exam must be looking for some useful tips whereby they can enhance their score. Here are 10 prime tips for the SBI PO Exam 2018.

#1- Focus on Grammar

When it comes to PO Exam, the grammar section is the easiest. If you have a clear base on the use of preposition and adjective, you can easily score heavily in this section. You only spend a few seconds while answering and hence, save time for the rest of the sections.

#2- Divide your time

At the time of giving mock test papers, divide your time slot of 2 hours into four time periods. During these periods try and attempt one section each. In this way your will get an idea of the required speed to solve maximum number of problems in the paper.

#3- General Awareness is the key!

It is an open truth that the candidates look forward to avoid the General Awareness section. Focusing upon general knowledge can give you the edge over other students. When others would be working minutes after minutes trying to solve complex problems for just one mark, you have solved dozens of general knowledge questions!

#4- Learn to calculate faster

Since you have data interpretation and logical reasoning in the examination, your speed of calculation will play as an important factor. Tables from 1 to 20 should be on your fingertips along with the knowledge of making fast multiplication.

#5- Strategy for Quantitative Aptitude

Quantitative Aptitude can absorb a majority of your time. For the Quantitative Aptitude section you can target a section of questions and try to answer about 25 correctly. If you are sure about the answers, then it is advised to leave out the complex ones so that you have some more time left in your hand to handle questions from other sections.

#6- Do not ‘Guess’ in English

When it comes to English, you either know the meaning of a particular work or don’t. There is no point wasting time after a single word and thinking that you can derive its meaning with some stares at the options. Again, do not play the guessing game.

#7- Read the Comprehension slowly

Though there is a scarcity of time, always read the comprehension slowly. This allows you to understand the context of the comprehension better and you can easily score well after that. On the other hand, if you rush with the comprehension, you will be required to read it over and over.

#8- If you are confused, move on to the next question

A vital mistake which is made by most of the candidates. When over-confidence grips in, the candidate tries to solve the complex questions. This results in time loss as well as negative marking.

#9- Do not compromise in Logical Reasoning

Dealing with the reasoning section is very tricky. One has to be patient as well as fast in making calculations. Though the problem may take about 5-7 minutes to get solved, you will end up answering 5-6 questions correctly. Investing time for 30 questions is more than enough.

#10- Stay calm and remain focused

Getting too nervous or distracted with other elements is bound to cause you harm. Avoid looking at complex problems before you leave for the exam and stay motivated solving 2-3 simple questions before leaving your home. This will boost your confidence and keep you motivated throughout the exam.

Best of Luck!
