UPSC ESE 2018: Dates, Syllabus, Application Form, Eligibility, Exam Pattern and More

The detail application form (DAF) is available now for successful candidates in Main ESE exam 2017.

Now, the successful candidates are required to apply for personality test. The personality test will be held from July to August 2017.

The detail application form can be filed from 29th July 2017 to 12th July 2017.

UPSC ESE 2017-2018 Updates

  • Update on 1st July 2017: Detail Application form for ESE 2017 Personality Test Available Now – Apply Here
  • Update on 27th May, 2016: UPSC held ESE exam today on 27th May, 2016. The exam will continue till 29th May 2016. Today was General Ability Test (GAT) paper which is common paper for all. The paper was starts from 9 AM and ends on 11 AM.
  • Update on 19th May 2016: Result declared for exam held in May 2016 and interview in July 2016

UPSC ESE Exam 2018 Introduction

Engineering Service Exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The short name of Engineering Service Exam which is popular amongst the candidates is UPSC ESE. Indian Engineering Service is the civil service that meet the technical and managerial function of the government of India. No doubt, the recruitment of the candidates like all other service examinations, is on the basis of merit and the middle management.

Position in the Bureaucracy are filled through competitive exams. All this is done for the real talent search to the welfare of countries. These services are divided into various groups. Some of the appointments are made by the president of India. You can call these categories or branches of engineering service exam.

UPSC ESE Exam Pattern 2018

There are three stages for final selection – ESE Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and then interview/personality test.

UPSC ESE – Number of Vacacnies

But the number of posts are not fixed as per criteria of ESE. It varies according to the number of vacancies.

There is a reason behind the such less number of vacancies because it is considered as one of the toughest and hardest exam to be cleared not only in India but also in world with having a very little ratio to be passed out. UPSC ESE Exam Eligibility Criteria 2018

1) Age: First of all, they consider age criteria which is minimum of 21 years and maximum 30 years.

2) Education Qualification: The following education qualification is required to apply for the ESE exam.

  1. The candidates should have degree in Engineering from a university recognised in India or from foreign university which is recognized by the Government of India.
  2. Passed Graduate Membership Exam from the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers in India.
  3. The candidates should have passed the Associateship Membership Exam Part II and III or section A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India.

    1. if u want 2 apply for IAS r IPS exam u have 2 apply for UPSC CIVIL SERVICE preliminary exam in the month of march and if u want 2 apply for upsc eng exam apply the same in UPSC website in the month of april
