The State Government of Gujarat has issued a public notification inviting people from all over India to apply for the post of Vanrakshak (Forest Guard). The process of application has been kept online and there are 1484 vacant positions for the same. Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria can apply for this job.
The following are the eligibility criteria for the aforesaid job. Any candidate who desires to make an application for the post needs to make sure that he/ she has satisfied the eligibility criteria beforehand.
- Age Eligibility: The age of the candidate should be in between 18 years to 33 years. However, necessary age relaxation will be available to candidates who belong to reserved category. Here is the relaxation chart-

- Educational Qualification: Apart from age criteria, candidates also need to have a high school certificate where Gujarati was also a subject upto Class X.

The process of online application has become hassle-free. Candidates are no longer required to waste time waiting for their form submission. They can apply through the online application process and complete their registration within a matter of minutes. Following the given steps will make it easier for them.
Step 1- Visit https://www.forests.gujarat.gov.in/
The first step is to visit the official website of the Gujarat’s Forest Department. Simply type https://www.forests.gujarat.gov.in/ in the address bar and hit enter. You would be redirected to the official website where registrations are being accepted.
Step 2- Choose Recruitment Link
Once the webpage has loaded, look for the link which states Forest Dept. Recruitment. Clicking on that link will take you to the registration page.
Step 3- Enter Details
An online application form will be generated where candidates can enter their details. However, make sure that the entered data is correct and true as per the candidate’s knowledge.
Step 4- Make Payment
Candidates are required to pay an application fee of INR 100. There is no exemption in this criteria and everyone needs to bear this. Even if the facility to pay through credit card, net banking or any other online means is absent, the candidate can make a payment through challan.
Step 5- Confirm Registration
After completing the payment, the candidates would receive a confirmation message whereby their registration process would be complete.
