Selection Procedure
Selection will be based on Competitive examination. It will be divided in to 3 parts as follow.
- Elimination Test (Objective Type – MCQs) – 100 marks.
- Translation Test – 100 marks.
- Viva-voce Test – 50 marks.
(A). Elimination Test (Objective Type – MCQs)
The Question Paper of Elimination Test shall consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) each of 1 Mark. For every wrong/multiple answer, there shall be Negative Marking of 0.33 Marks. Language of the Question Paper shall be English only (except the questions in Gujarati Language). Duration of the Elimination Test shall be 02 Hours.
Syllabus of Elimination Test as follow:
- General Knowledge.
- Indian History & Geography.
- Sports.
- Current Affairs.
- Arithmetic/Mathematics.
- Analytical Reasoning.
- Mental Ability.
- Computer Knowledge.
- English Language.
- Gujarati Language.
(B). Translation Test
The Translation Test of 100 Marks, comprising Translation from Gujarati to English and English to Gujarati language and also Synonyms, Antonyms and Idioms shall be conducted for a duration of 02:30 Hours. Candidates shall have to secure minimum 40 Marks in Translation Test for being called for next stage i.e. Viva-voce Test.
(C). Viva-voce Test
The Viva-voce Test shall be of 50 Marks. Suitability of the Candidates will be assessed on the basis of one’s General Knowledge, Personality, Communication Skills, Basic Knowledge of Computer Application and Legal Knowledge. Candidates shall have to secure minimum 40% Marks in the Viva-voce Test.
