SSC Junior Hindi Translator 2017 Pay Profile and Duties
Applicant thoroughly trying to make the position under the concerned authority would be eligible with the pay grade to be Rs. 20000 per month. No other allowance is to be granted by the authority to the selected candidates like TA (travelling Allowance) or DA (daily allowance) or any other allowance, however the applicant will be paid with the permissible allowance when the selected candidate will be on the official tour as set by the authority.
Duties to be performed:
- Applicant as per the requirement of the post will be needed to make a translation of the essential document from English to Hindi and also if needed from Hindi to English.
- Applicants will also be equipped with the responsibility to duly organize the Hindi meetings and Hindi workshops.
- Potential will also be needed o act as Liaison Officer in Hindi Meetings.
- All the record work including the Maintaining files, records will also to be managed by the authority.
SSC Junior Hindi Translator 2017 Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: The age of candidates should not more than thirty (30) years as on 1-1-2017. The upper age limit relaxation as per rules is applicable. You can check here the complete age limit relaxation here.
Qualification: The candidates should have minimum qualification as given below as on 1.1.2017.
For post code A to D: Master’s degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective and Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or two years’ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including Government of India Under taking.
For post code G: Bachelor’s degree in Hindi with English as one of the subject at degree level either as compulsory or optional from a recognized University or Institute plus Master’s degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute plus Bachelor of Education from a recognized University/Institute.
Desirable: Two years experience of teaching Hindi at Senior Secondary level under Central or State Governments or recognized educational Institution.
The candidates who have not qualified according to the minimum eligibility criteria as specified by SSC should not apply for the posts.
How to Apply
The candidates are required to apply only by online mode. The application fee is Rs. 100/-. The payment can be made through SBI Challan/SBI net banking or through credit/debit card of any bank.
The candidates belongs to SC/ST/PWD/EX-S/ are exempted from payment fee.
The online application form will available from 15th April 2017 to 5th May 2017 (up to 5.00 PM)
The examination for Junior Hindi Translator exam will be held on 15th June 2017. There will be two paper as per the following table.
The paper I will have objective type – multiple choice question only. The candidates will qualify in paper II can sit in paper II.
Paper-I will have negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
SSC Junior Hindi Translator Exam Syllabus 2017
Paper-I: The questions will based on languages and literature, phrases, idioms, correct use of words and ability to write languages correctly. The questions will be based on degree level.
Paper-II: The paper will have 200 marks (conventional type). The paper will have 2 passage of translation from Hindi to English and English to Hindi.
SSC will shortlist candidates on the performance based on Paper I & Paper II. The department and location will be allotted on the basis of merit position and the option exercised.
There is also resolution of Tie cases when there is equal aggregate marks more than one candidates. The following methods will be adopted one after another

- Total marks in paper-II
- Date of birth with older candidates placed higher
- Alphabetical order in the first names of the candidates appear.
