To get a bank job, the candidate has to go through the following selection procedure:

Qualification: The candidate applying for the job has to be a citizen of India. Degree of Graduation / Any equal qualification from a recognized and well known University or an Institute that is related to Banking is a must and it should be recognized by the Government of India. Now, The graduation degree is required to apply for the post of clerk in the bank, first it was 10+2. The specialist degree like CA/ICWA/MBA (Finance), Law and other specialist degree according to the nature of the post of specialist officers is required. People belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes or any other reserved categories enjoy the benefits as they have seats reserved. A written test and an interview are taken for the selection process.

Written Examination: Anyone with the minimum age of 18 years and maximum of 26 years having the required degree is eligible for appearing in the written test. The written test is a 2 hours paper. It comprises of both objective as well as descriptive type questions. The thought process, comprehension and expression of the candidate is evaluated in the descriptive section of the written paper. Whereas the objective part of the test comprises of questions that are related to General Awareness , Quantitative Aptitude , the power of reasoning and the candidate’s knowledge about English. The objective part decides the candidate’s knowledge about certain important things, management of time , depth of understanding , the thinking and point of views of the candidate and his / her intellectuality. Interview: The candidates who qualify and get through the above written test are selected for the interview. The interview is judges overall on total of 100 marks. The candidate is judged by a panel / committee of people called the Interview Board. The candidate is scored and judged on the basis of his / her way of talking, his / her personality and smartness when he / she talks, his / her intelligence that reflects in the personality and the way he / she answers the questions, the alertness of the candidate and the most important whether he / she is suitable and will fit well in the position that they are willing to work for.
