Latest SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2017

The whole exam for CGL is divided into four prominent segments, namely:

  • Tier I (Computer Based Examination)
  • Tier II (Computer Based Examination)
  • Tier-III Pen and Paper Mode (Descriptive Paper)
  • Tier-IV (Computer Proficiency Test/Skill Test/Document Verification)

SSC CGL Tier I Exam Pattern

SSC will held SSC CGL Tier – I exam from 5th August 2017 to 24th August 2017.

The first barrier which the candidates are required to cross is the Tier I exam which takes place on a large scale level. The exam contains four section, each carrying 25 questions and 50 marks each. Candidate needs to solve as many questions as possible in the given duration of 60 minutes or 1 hours (Time duration changed in notification 2017 first it was 120 minutes). The exam is of MCQ type where the candidates would be asked to choose the right answer from the give options. To sum up, the frame of the exam is similar to the given pattern:

The time duration is 80 minutes for VH and candidates suffering from Cerebral Palsy.

SSC CGL Tier II Exam Pattern 2017

SSC will held SSC CGL Tier – I exam on 10th November 2017 & 11th November 2017.

After crossing the first barrier, candidates are required to sit for tier II exam. It is also computer based examination mode.

The exam time duration is 120 minutes (total). The time duration for VH and candidates suffering from Cerebral Palsy is 160 minutes.

Negative marking – 0.25 for each wrong answer (Paper – II)

Negative marking – 0.50 for each wrong answer (Paper- I, Paper III & Paper IV)

SSC CGL Tier III Exam Pattern 2017

SSC will held SSC CGL Tier – III exam on 21st January 2018.

It is Pen and Paper mode examination. The time duration for tier-II exam is 60 minutes. The candidates belongs to VH and suffering from Cerebral Palsy have 80 minutes to complete the paper.
