1) Nationality of the Candidate
A candidate needs to be one of the following in order to be eligible for the SSC JE Exam 2018-
- An Indian Citizen, or
- A subject of Bhutan, or
- A Subject of Nepal, or
- A refugee from Tibet, whose ancestors had settled down in India prior to 1.1.1962., or
- A person being of Indian Origin in Pakistan, Sri Lanka, any country of East Africa and Burma who has settled down in India permanently.
2) Age of the Candidate

- The above mentioned age limit is applicable only to the General category. Candidates who belong from SC, ST or OBC enjoys age relaxation upto 5 years, 5 years and 3 years, respectively.
- The matriculation/secondary examination certificate will be accepted by the commission for determining the age.
3) Educational Qualification
Candidates who wish to appear for the SSC JE Exam 2018 should held either a bachelor’s degree or a diploma degree from a recognized University. The process of determining the eligibility is simple. You are required to move from point 1 to point 3. First, you are required to check whether your nationality is India or of Indian origin.
