CRPF Paramedical Selection Procedure 2020

The candidates have to go through Physical Standard Test, Physical Efficiency Test & Written examination..

Selection will be based on Physical Standard Test, Physical Efficiency Test & Written examination. Duration of written exam will be 2 hours.

CRPF Paramedical Exam Pattern 2020

Part-I – Physical Standard Test

a. There will be Physical Standard Test i.e. height, chest and weight measurements.If candidate who do not fulfill the laid down physical standard will be eliminated from further recruitment process giving rejection slip. If Candidates disqualified in physical standards, i.e. height and chest may prefer an appeal immediately at the venue of the PST itself, if they so desire, to the Presiding Officer present on the PST ground addressing to the Appellate Authority. The decision of the Appellate Authority will be final and no further appeal or representation in this regard will be entertained. During Physical Standard Test process following documents will be required.

  • Caste/ Category certificate where applicable.
  • Education Certificate.
  • Age/ Date of Birth.
  • Discharge Certificate & Experience Certificate in relevant trade in case of Ex-servicemen.
  • NOC in case of persons serving in Govt departments from their Head of office.
  • EWS certificate.

b. For the post of Insp/ Dietitian, SI (Staff Nurse)/ SI(Radiographer)/ ASI(Pharmacist)/ ASI (Physiotherapist)/ ASI (Dental Technician)/ ASI (Lab. Tech) / ASI(ECG Technician)/ HC (Physiotherapy Assistant/ Nursing Assistant/ Medic) and Others Height and Chest measurement table as following below.

Part-II – Physical Efficiency Test

a. There will be also Physical Efficiency Test i.e. Race, Long Jump and High Jump. It will be of qualifying Nature and will not carry any mark. For female candidates, pregnancy at the time of PET will be considered a disqualification and pregnant female candidates shall be rejected at this stage. The candidates who do not qualify the prescribed physical efficiency tests will be eliminated from further recruitment process giving rejection slip.

b. For Insp/ Dietician, SI (Staff Nurse)/ SI (Radiographer)/ ASI(Pharmacist)/ ASI(Physiotherapist)/ ASI (Dental Technician)/ ASI (Lab. Tech)/ ASI (ECG Technician)/ HC(Physiotherapy Assistant/ Nursing Assistant/ Medic)/ HC (ANM/ Midwife)/ HC (Dialysis Technician)/ HC (Jr. X-ray Assistant) and Others Physical Efficiency Test as following below.

c. Physical Efficiency Test for Constable Masalchi/ Cook/ Safai Karamchari/ Washer Man/ Table Boy/ Water Carrier.

  • Race for male candidates 1.6 Km (1 mile) race in 10 minutes.
  • Race for female candidates 1.6 Km (1 mile) race in 12 minutes.

Part-III – Written Examination

There will be written examination of 100 marks Each question will carry 1 mark. Duration of written exam will be 2 hours. It will be Divided into 2 parts. Standard of written test will be equivalent to Graduate level except for the ranks of CT and HC. Their level of exam will be Class X and XII respectively.It will be Multiple Types Questions.

Part-A (50 Marks)

  • General Intelligence and Reasoning – (10 Question of 01 mark each).
  • General Awareness – (10 questions of 01 mark each).
  • Numerical Aptitude – (15 questions for 01 mark each).
  • English/Hindi comprehension – (15 questions for 01 mark each).

Part-B (50 Marks)

Questions will be of concerned profession of the trade. The level of questions will be at par with eligibility criteria required for particular trade and rank. Minimum cut off percentage for qualifying the written examination for all the posts will be as under.

For the post of Inspector, SI, ASI & HC

  • Unreserved/ EWS/ Ex-servicemen: 50% of Total marks.
  • SC/ ST/ OBC candidates: 45% of Total marks.

For the post of Constable

  • Unreserved/ EWS/ Ex-servicemen: 45% of Total marks.
  • SC/ ST/ OBC candidates: 40% of Total marks.

Part – IV – Trade Test & Screening of Documents

There will be Trade/ Skill test will be held for the posts of  Insp/ Dietician, SI (Staff Nurse)/ SI (Radiographer)/ ASI (Pharmacist)/ ASI (Physiotherapist)/ ASI (Dental Technician)/ ASI (Lab. Tech)/ ASI (ECG Technician)/ HC (Physiotherapy Assistant/ Nursing Assistant/ Medic) and others. It was mandatory to qualify in written examination as well as in trade test separately. Any candidate declared not qualified in trade test will not be eligible for further recruitment process irrespective of his/ her marks obtained in written test. Trade test will be of 20 marks and of qualifying in nature. Details of trade test are as under.

  • Practical test in concerned trade including handling of tools/ equipment – (10 marks).
  • Knowledge about tools/ equipment – (05 marks).
  • Experience – (05 marks).
  • Work experience of five years in respective trade – (05 marks).
  • Work experience of four year in respective trade – (04 marks).
  • Work experience of three year in respective trade – (03 marks).
  • Work experience of two year in respective trade – (02 marks).
  • Work experience of at least one year in respective trade – (01 mark).

Cut off marks in trade test will be as under:

For the rank of Inspector/ Sub Inspector/ Assistant Sub Inspector/ Head Constable.

  • For UR/ EWS/ Ex-Servicemen – 10 marks out of 20.
  • For OBC/ SC/ ST – 09 marks out of 20.

For the Rank of Constable.

  • For UR/ EWS/ Ex-Servicemen – 08 marks out of 20.
  • For OBC/ SC/ ST – 07 marks out of 20.
