What documents are required for online application of CMS Exam 2016?
A candidate is required to have 3 basic access for completing his online application within a matter of minutes. They are:
- A recent scanned passport size photograph of the candidate within the file size 3 – 40 KB.
- A recent scanned signature of the candidate within the file size 1 – 40 KB.
- A facility to make online payment (credit card/ debit card/ Net banking, etc.)

Step 1- UPSC’s official website

Step 2- Application for Various Examinations
Once you visit the page, there would be two options on the page. The option on top accepts online applications, whereas the option at the bottom accepts online recruitment. As a candidate for exam, you will be required to click on the first option.
Step 3- Click on Part I Registration
The click will take you to a new page where list of exams would be given. Choose the exam which states CMS and click on the box below Part I Registration. A new page will pop up where you would be required to scroll down and click on ‘Yes’.
Step 4- Enter basic details and complete Part I registration
Complete the Part I Registration by entering the basic details about yourself. At the end of the form, click on ‘I Agree’ and wait for an email and SMS by the department where your registration number will be present.
Step 5- Begin Part II Registration
To proceed with Part II Registration, you would be required to enter your registration number and date of birth. Once the log in successful, upload your documents and fill up the required information in detail.
Step 6- Payment
To complete Part II registration, pay the required fee through an online medium (Credit card/ Debit Card/ Net banking, etc.). The department will intimate you about the success of your application once the payment is confirmed.
