The Exam Results for UPSC SCRA is going to be out in the first or second week of February 2017. The UPSC department has not given any specific date in respect of the declaration of the result, but experts do believe that the aforesaid mentioned period would be ideal for the release of the result. However, this is not the final result for SCRA. The result will only mark the end of Part I in the selection process.
How to see my UPSC SCRA Result 2016?
A candidate can view the result through the website of UPSC. It should be noted that the website to check the result is www.upsc.gov.in. Some candidates do get confused and check the website where online registration took place (www.upsconline.nic.in), but for faster operations, a candidate must visit the first link, as mentioned above. A step-by-step guide for viewing online results for UPSC SCRA is given below:
Step 1- UPSC’s official website
As discussed earlier, a candidate is required to visit the official website of UPSC department. For this purpose, go to the address bar of your Internet browser (can be Google Chrome, Firefox or the Internet Explorer) and type www.upsc.gov.in and hit enter. Within a matter of seconds, you will be redirected to the official website of UPSC.
Step 2- Finding the result link
On visiting the UPSC website, you will be required to find the link which will redirect you to the result page. Have a close look on the links present on the right hand side of the page. This is where you will find your required link.
An easy way to find the result is to take help of the ‘FIND’ option on the browser. Simply press Ctrl key and F key on the keyboard and type the word ‘Result’ in it. All areas with the same text on the web page will get highlighted. Once you find your link, click on it.
Step 3- Finding the roll number
The click opens a new page where the result is mentioned. UPSC Department, often declares it result through the roll number of the candidate. Candidates who have qualified to the next round have their roll number mentioned in the list. So, you will be required to find your roll number in the given list. For this purpose, you can prefer the same option as you did in finding the result (CTRL + F).
Can I have my paper rechecked?
The UPSC authority reserves exclusive rights in respect of decision making. You cannot challenge the authority. There is no scope for recheck or challenging the decision of the authority. A decision which has been made by the UPSC Department is final and shall continue to hold value.
Once you have qualified the Part I examination, you will need to wait for the Part II examination where a personality test will be waiting for you. The cumulative marks of Part I and Part II Examination will determine your overall score and the status of your selection process.
