Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:
- Eligibility shall be ascertained strictly on the basis of Academic/Research Score obtained as per UGC Regulations, 2018.
- Shortlisting of candidates for interview for Assistant Professor posts: In case of large number of applications, maximum 30 candidates per vacancy may be called for interview. In case of tie, all applicants with the same combined score as the 30th candidate shall be shortlisted. For each subsequent teaching post (same cadre, same subject, same category), additional 15 candidates shall be called.
- Shortlisting for Assistant Professor in Computer Engineering and Robotics shall be as per Appendix II Table 3A of UGC Regulations 2018.
- Selection shall be based on merit through a duly constituted Selection Committee as per UGC Regulations 2018.
- University reserves the right to consider and invite exceptionally suitable candidates in absentia.
- The decision of the Vice-Chancellor in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection and conduct of interview shall be final and binding.

Important Information:
- Reservation: Posts are reserved as per Government of India norms for SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS, and PwD categories. A relaxation of 5% shall be allowed at Bachelor’s and Master’s level for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/Differently-abled candidates.
- Lien Vacancy Posts: Posts advertised against Lien Vacancy are up to the lien being maintained by the incumbent. In case of repatriation of the incumbent, the appointment shall stand terminated forthwith.
- Leave Vacancy Posts: Posts advertised against Leave Vacancy are purely on contract basis and are not likely to be regularized. Incumbent appointed against leave vacancy shall be paid fixed monthly remuneration as per clause 13 of UGC Regulations 2018.
- Ph.D. Requirement: As per UGC Amendment Regulations 2021, Ph.D. Degree shall not be mandatory qualification for direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor in University Departments.
- Foreign Ph.D.: Candidates awarded Ph.D. from foreign university must enclose Equivalence Certificate issued by AIU, New Delhi. Exemption for those nominated by Ministry of Education under foreign scholarship programme.
- OBC/EWS Certificate: Must be issued by Competent Authority not older than 06 months from the last date of receipt of application.
- Pension: Appointment on regular basis shall be governed by New Pension Scheme (NPS).
- Deputation/Contract: The advertisement also includes invitation for appointment on long-term deputation (up to 10 years) and re-employment of superannuated teachers on contract basis, only at Professor and Associate Professor level.
- Right to Revise: University reserves the right to revise/reschedule/cancel/suspend/withdraw the recruitment process at any stage without assigning any reason.
