Key Responsibilities of Mentor (Enterprise Finance):

• Provide crucial support to Vitta Sakhis at each step from selection of micro enterprise, preparation of documents, disbursement of loan, loan data collection and business monitoring.
• Rectify gaps/shortcomings in identification, enrollment, and documentation of enterprises through inputs to/from Vitta Sakhis.
• Conduct sample visits of 10%/30%/25% of entrepreneurs identified and found eligible for enterprise loans.
• Provide guidance to Vitta Sakhi on conducting enterprise appraisals.
• Liaise with banks post submission of micro enterprise loan applications to resolve hurdles.
• Ensure Block office and Sangha are informed of disbursements.
• Use Excel tool to estimate maximum permissible bank limit based on data collected via Questionnaire-2.
• Support Vitta Sakhis in post-disbursal visits to entrepreneurs for fund utilization and timely repayment issues.
• Prepare a list of model economic activities with potential to grow in the area.
• Provide inputs on central and state government schemes beneficial for entrepreneurs.
• Examine reasons for rejection of loan applications and arrange for rectification and resubmission.
• Attend monthly meetings with the District Implementation & Monitoring Team.
• Attend workshops, exposure visits, and exchange programmes as required.
• Monitor quality of training programmes delivered by other trainers/resource persons if assigned.
• Submit reports in specified formats including web-based or electronic platforms as per WBSRLM requirements.
• Any other duties assigned by DMMU.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be a resident of Paschim Medinipur (EPIC/Aadhaar card as residential proof).
• Must be willing to travel outside Block/District/State for training, workshops, etc.
• Must have good communication skills and be fluent in both English and Bengali.
• Must have clear knowledge of accounting and financial systems.
• Must be willing to work in villages within and outside the district/State.
• SHG Members engaged in any paid work for Government/Government-sponsored organizations (ICDS/ASHA/RP) or NGOs are NOT eligible.
• SHG Members acting as BOD, OB of Sangha Cooperative/Upasangha/Mahasangha are NOT eligible.
• SHG Members with a PRI portfolio are NOT eligible.

Cancellation of Empanelment: In case of any misinformation, wrong information, or fraud, the selection committee will summarily cancel the empanelment of the Mentor.
