Selection Procedure

- Document Verification: Candidates will be allowed entry only after registration and successful document verification at the walk-in venue.
- Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates after document verification will be evaluated through a Personal Interview.
- Merit-Based Final Selection: Final recommendations shall be made as per merit (A+B+C) based on the following criteria:
- A. Qualification: 20% of aggregate percentage in B.E./B.Tech./Diploma/ITI
- B. Relevant Experience: Maximum 30 marks
- For Project Engineer on Contract (PE-C): 15 marks for initial 3 years experience & 5 marks for each additional year (max 30 marks)
- For Technical Officer on Contract (TO-C) & Assistant Project Engineer on Contract (APE-C): 10 marks for initial 1 year experience & 10 marks for each additional year (max 30 marks)
- For Senior Artisan on Contract (SA-C): 15 marks for initial 2 years experience & 5 marks for each additional year (max 30 marks)
- C. Personal Interview: 50 marks

- Contract Tenure: Initial period of One year, extendable up to 4 years (including initial term) depending on project requirements and satisfactory performance. For PE-C (Cat-1) at Kudankulam (Chennai Zone), tenure is extendable up to 2 years only.
- Additional Benefits: Reimbursement of Medical Insurance premium, Company PF, TA/DA (while on official duty), Paid Leave as per extant rules. PE-C candidates also receive a lump sum one-time amount of ₹8,400 towards attire allowances after completion of at least 6 months tenure.
- Age Relaxation: 3 years for OBC; 5 years for SC/ST; 10 additional years for PwBD (40% or more disability) over and above category relaxation; 5 years for candidates domiciled in J&K from 01/01/1980 to 31/12/1989.
- Marks Relaxation: Minimum 60% aggregate relaxed to 50% for SC/ST candidates (subject to availability of reserved posts).
- Apprenticeship: Apprenticeship in the relevant field (maximum of one year) is considered as experience.
- Eligibility: Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
- Single Application: Candidates should apply for one category of post only; applying to multiple posts is not allowed.
- Posting: Candidates should be ready to work anywhere in India as per organizational requirements.
- Current ECIL Employees: Must obtain a permission letter from the respective Head of Division (HoD) and submit it at the time of document verification.
