  • PwD Reservation (State Tax Officer): Out of 22 posts, 2 posts are reserved for PwD category (1 post for Deaf and hard of hearing; 1 post for Locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy). In case of non-availability of PwD candidates, equal number of posts to be kept vacant from unreserved category.
  • Konkani Relaxation: In case of non-availability of suitable candidates with knowledge of Konkani, GPSC may recommend a candidate if otherwise found fit. This requirement can be relaxed by the Government on GPSC’s recommendation for Group ‘A’ posts in Professional Colleges and Consultants in the Directorate of Health Services.
  • Forest Department Note: Selected candidates who do not possess Associateship Diploma will be sent for training at Forest Research Institute and Colleges, Dehradun or State Forest Service College and Research Centre, Burnihat. Failure in training will debar them from retention in service as Assistant Commissioner.
  • Assistant Professor (Veterinary) NET/SLET Exemption: Candidates who have been awarded Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC regulations shall be exempted from NET/SLET requirements.
