Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:
- Recruitment for Group C posts will be strictly in accordance with CET Policy dated 31.12.2024 & its amendment dated 11.07.2025 and Haryana Staff Selection Commission Rules 2025 dated 27.05.2025.
- The examination will consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for a total of 100 marks, with a duration of 1 hour 45 minutes.
- The minimum qualifying marks are 50% for General Category and 40% for Reserved Category.
- The question paper will be bilingual (English & Hindi) and an offline (OMR based) written examination.
- For every question, candidates will be provided four options. If a candidate does not wish to attempt a question, they must fill the fifth circle/bubble in the OMR sheet; failure to do so will result in a deduction of one mark. There is no negative marking for wrong answers.
- After publication of CET (Marks), the Commission will advertise posts and invite online applications from eligible candidates based on CET Score (Marks).
- A maximum of ten times the total number of advertised posts will be eligible to appear for the skill and/or written examination.
- If the CET (Marks) of the last eligible candidate is achieved by more than one candidate, all such candidates will be considered for the skill and/or written examination.
- The Commission may hold one common skill and/or written examination for posts of different nomenclature but similar educational qualifications and pay scales.
- For selection, a candidate against a general category post must secure a minimum of 50% marks in the skill and/or written examination.
- For selection, a candidate against a reserved category post must secure a minimum of 40% marks in the skill and/or written examination.
- The Commission will shortlist candidates for selection, recommendation, or waiting list based on marks obtained in the written/skill examination, adding any other scores (e.g., NCC).
- For Group C posts of Police Service, candidates will first undergo Physical Measurement Test and Physical Screening Test (both qualifying in nature), followed by a written test.

- If more than one candidate has equal aggregate marks (written examination/skill test marks), the older candidate will get precedence.
- If two or more candidates have the same aggregate marks and same date of birth, the candidate with higher marks in CET Phase –I written examination shall be considered.
Likely Causes of Rejection of Application/Candidature:
- More than one application form for a particular post.
- Application is incomplete or not submitted online.
- No qualification of Hindi/Sanskrit as prescribed in advertisement.
- Applicant does not possess the requisite essential qualification on cutoff/closing date.
- Candidate is underage/overage on the cutoff/closing date.

Experience Certificate Guidelines:
- Experience will be considered only after acquiring the essential educational qualification.
- Certificate must be issued by the competent authority of the concerned Department/ Board/ Corporation/ Company/Statutory Body/Commission/Authority/Co-operative banks etc. under Haryana Government for age relaxation and essential qualification.
- Details of salary, designation, date of joining, period of service, and date of issuance must be clearly mentioned.
- For essential qualifications requiring experience, experience from private organizations/institutions may be considered if service rules allow.
- For private organizations, the certificate should be issued by the competent authority and include details of salary, designation, date of joining, period of service, and date of issuance.
- Candidates from private organizations should also enclose supporting documents like Bank Statement/Pass Book, EPF/ESI contribution statement, FORM 26AS, NPS contribution statement for relevant period.
Post Preferences:
- Candidates must fill detailed options for various posts/Departments through online mode.
