- ICAI is a statutory body established in 1949 under an Act of Parliament for regulation and development of the Chartered Accountancy profession in India.
- Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.

- Compensation includes Basic Pay, Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance, and National Pension System (NPS). Additional benefits include Ex-Gratia for academic pursuit, Leave Travel Concession, Gratuity, and other benefits as per service conditions.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the first round of interview. For the second round (if applicable), outstation candidates will be reimbursed fare by the shortest route as per ICAI rules.
