Selection Procedure

- Written Examination (Objective/MCQ type) on OMR Sheet.
- Level 1 (Primary – Class 1 to 5): Duration 2 hours 30 minutes. Questions based on syllabus of Class 1-5 with difficulty level of Secondary/Matric.
- Level 2 (Upper Primary – Class 6 to 8): Duration 2 hours 30 minutes. Questions based on syllabus of Class 6-8 with difficulty level of Higher Secondary/+2.
- Visually impaired/Cerebral Palsy/both hands disabled candidates get 30 extra minutes and Scribe facility.
- Question papers will be bilingual (Hindi and English). Language subject papers will be in the respective language.
- No negative marking.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: General/EWS: 60% | OBC-1/OBC-2: 55% | SC/ST/PVGT/Divyang: 52%

- This is only an eligibility test (Patrata Janch Pariksha) for appointment as Assistant Teacher/Special Trained Assistant Teacher in Primary (Class 1-5) and Upper Primary (Class 6-8) schools in Jharkhand. Passing does not confer any right to appointment.
- Candidates must be Indian citizens and should not have been convicted by a competent court in any criminal case.
- Candidates appearing in the final year of prescribed training qualification are also eligible to appear, subject to submission of certified final marksheet by the date fixed by the exam authority between exam and result declaration.
- Misconduct/malpractice in the exam will result in debarment from the next two eligibility tests.
- Validity of certificate of successful candidates will depend on verification/authenticity of educational/training qualifications and other required certificates as per rules.
- All entries in the online application form must be correct and error-free. Admit card, result, and certificate will be issued based on entries made in the application form. No correction will be accepted after submission.
