Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:

  1. Online Written Test (Objective Type):
    The engagement of Apprentices shall be based on merit obtained in the online examination.

  4. Online examination will be conducted in English language only.
  5. Wait List: A wait list of 50% of notified vacancies shall be maintained for one year from the date of result or till next engagement exercise, whichever is earlier.
  6. Document Verification: Final selection is subject to satisfactory verification of character, antecedents, valid caste certificates, and medical fitness.

Other Important Information:

  • Training Duration: 12 months under NATS (National Apprenticeship Training Scheme) as per Apprentices Act, 1961.
  • Stipend: Rs. 13,500/- per month (Rs. 9,000/- Bank’s Share + Rs. 4,500/- Govt. Share via DBT). DBT amount of Rs. 4,500/- is only paid to apprentices whose age is less than 35 years as on date of online contract issuance.
  • Conveyance: Up to Rs. 1,250/- per month.
  • Training Hours: 10 AM to 5 PM (normal working hours).
  • Casual Leave: Only 12 days of casual leave during the 12-month training period.
  • No Employment Guarantee: The apprentice shall have no right to claim employment in the Bank after completion of training.
  • Eligibility for DBT: Candidate should NOT have undergone Apprenticeship earlier in J&K Bank or any other organization, or be currently pursuing Apprenticeship Training.
  • Ineligibility: Candidates who have undergone training or have job experience of one year or more after attainment of educational qualifications are NOT eligible.
  • Single District Application: Candidate has to apply for only one District/Area. In case of multiple registrations, the latest application will be considered.
  • Weightage for J&K/Ladakh Domicile: Relaxation of one year in age for Banking Associate cadre appointment; additional 2.5 marks (out of 100) in online written test score for successful apprentices (applicable exclusively for domicile of UTs of J&K & Ladakh).
