  • Cumulative age relaxation is allowed for candidates covered under multiple categories.

Number of Attempts:

  • There is no limitation on the number of attempts if a candidate is otherwise eligible.

Reservation Benefits (Key Points):

  • Reservation benefits are only for permanent residents of Jharkhand.
  • Local resident certificate in prescribed format is mandatory for all categories claiming reservation.
  • Caste certificate issued by a competent authority of Jharkhand is required.
  • Original caste certificate must be presented during document verification at the time of interview.
  • For SC/ST candidates: Caste certificate in Form-5/V (Amended), Form-4/IV (Amended) or Form-IV/4 as per Jharkhand Govt. circulars.
  • For EBC-I/BC-II candidates: Caste certificate (Non-Creamy Layer) in Form-XI/11 as per Jharkhand Govt. circulars. If validity expires, a Non-Creamy Layer self-declaration in Form-XV is required.
  • For EWS candidates: Valid and updated “Income and Asset Certificate” in prescribed format (Appendix-1) issued by a competent authority of Jharkhand.
  • All prescribed forms are available on www.jpsc.gov.in under “Important Jharkhand Govt. Circular & Notices”.

Disability Benefits:

  • Disability benefits are applicable only if claimed in the application form and no changes are allowed later.
  • Minimum 40% disability is required.
  • Disability certificate signed/countersigned by a competent Medical Board and Chief Medical Officer/Medical Superintendent as per Jharkhand Govt. resolution no. 2249, dated 03.04.2018 is required.

Medical Examination (General):

  • Candidates must be physically and mentally fit for government service.
  • Must pass all medical examinations notified by the government.

How to Apply:

  • Apply Online through One Time Registration (OTR) System on www.jpsc.gov.in.
  • No certificates to be attached with the online application.
  • Ensure all required certificates (including mark sheets) are dated not later than the last date of application.
  • Candidates are responsible for accurate information; incorrect/incomplete information may lead to cancellation.
  • Keep your E-mail ID, Mobile Number, User ID, and Password safe until the final result. Use your own active mobile number and email ID.
  • The Commission is not responsible for internet or banking disruptions. Apply well before the last date.
  • After submitting the online application, immediately log in again and download two copies of the filled application form from the “Download Filled Application Section” on the dashboard.
  • Safely keep all claim-related certificates/documents and the bank receipt of the examination fee payment. These must be presented in original when requested by the Commission during the interview or at any time.
  • No changes will be accepted after the online application is “Submit & Lock”.
  • Read “How to apply” on www.jpsc.gov.in before filling the form.
  • If in government service, details of the No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by the controlling officer must be entered in the Online Application.
  • Upload a clear, colored (passport size) photograph and signature at the designated place through the OTR System. Applications without uploaded photograph and signature will be rejected.
  • Name, Father’s Name, and Date of Birth must be entered exactly as they appear on the Matric (10th Board) certificate/mark sheet.
  • All details related to educational qualification, age, disability, caste, local resident status, ex-serviceman status, and service under the Government of Jharkhand must be entered in the online application form. Original certificates must be presented during verification at the time of interview.
  • Application fee is non-refundable if the application is rejected under any circumstances.
  • Applications will be cancelled if the examination fee is not received by the Commission through the prescribed medium.
