Selection Procedure

- Eligibility: Candidates must have cleared the Written Round of UPSC Engineering Services Examination 2024 (Mechanical/Electrical discipline), appeared for UPSC ESE 2024 Interview, but were NOT recommended for final selection by UPSC, and must have consented to sharing marks information on UPSC’s website.
- Shortlisting: Applicant lists shall be prepared in decreasing order of marks scored in UPSC ESE 2024 (out of 1200) for Mechanical/Electrical discipline, category-wise, based on number of positions advertised.
- No Separate Exam/Interview: Only UPSC ESE 2024 Score (out of 1200) will be used for recruitment. No separate written examination and no separate personal interview will be held by MECL.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification. Candidates must bring original valid UPSC ESE 2024 Result/Score card along with other relevant documents.
- Offer of Employment: If documents are found suitable and matching with advertisement criteria, offers of employment shall be issued.
- Tie-Breaking: In case of identical scores, (1) Seniority in Age (as per Matriculation certificate) will be considered first; (2) If tie persists, higher aggregate percentage in Essential Engineering Degree will be considered.
