Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:
- Preference will be given to applicants belonging to neighbouring villages within 16 km radius around the Kakrapar Gujarat Site Plant Site.
- If all trades/disciplines are not filled by applicants from neighbouring villages, a merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in that particular trade/discipline from other applicants outside the neighbouring villages.
- Candidates will be selected for training on the basis of marks obtained in their ITI/Diploma/Graduation course.
- In case of a tie in the percentage of marks, the candidate born earlier shall be considered first.
- In case of a tie in Date of Birth, candidates with a higher percentage in Matriculation will be placed higher on the merit list.
- Engagement of selected apprentices is subject to being declared medically fit by the Competent Authority as per the requirement of the Corporation.

- Fill the application form duly and affix a recent passport-size photograph at the designated space.

Other Important Information
- Duration of Apprenticeship: Maximum 1 year for all categories.
- Place of Training: NPCIL, Kakrapar Gujarat Site, PO Anumala, Dist. Tapi, Gujarat-394651.
- No transport/hostel/residential accommodation will be provided to selected apprentices.
- Police Verification: Kakrapar Gujarat Site being a highly protected area, apprentices will be engaged only after submission of Police Verification Certificate issued by District Police Authorities.
- PwBD Reservation: Trade – 10 posts, Technician – 01 post, Graduate – 03 posts. Disability should be 40% or more.
- Age Relaxation: SC/ST: 5 years; OBC (NCL): 3 years; PwBD (General/EWS): 10 years; PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years; PwBD (OBC-NCL): 13 years.
- Candidates already undergoing or who have completed Apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, 1961 in any Government/PSU/Private organization are NOT eligible to apply.
- Absconded apprentice candidates from previous training are not eligible to apply.
- NPCIL is not obligated to offer employment after completion of apprenticeship training, nor is the apprentice obligated to accept employment under NPCIL.
- Management reserves the right to cancel or alter the number of seats or the entire process without assigning any reasons.
- CGPA Conversion: Applicants awarded CGPA/GPA/SGPA or letter grades must produce authenticated conversion formula from their Institute/University. Standard conversion table is provided in the notification if no formula is available.
- For NATS 2.0 portal eligibility: Only candidates who have passed Diploma/Graduate degree qualifying examination within 5 years of the last date of application (i.e., 06/04/2026) are eligible.
- Physical Fitness Standards: Height: 137 cm and above; Weight: 25.4 kg and above; Chest expansion: 3.8 cm. Candidates must be free from contagious/infectious diseases and Tuberculosis.
- Women candidates are encouraged to apply.
- In case of any discrepancy between Hindi and English versions, the English version will prevail.
