Tenure Based DBW (Danger Building Worker)

- Qualification: NCVT National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in AOCP Trade or feeder trades (IMCP, MMCP, LACP, PPO, Fitter General, Machinist, Turner, Sheet Metal Worker, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Boiler Attendant, Mechanic Industrial Electronics, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic)
- Age Limit: 18 to 40 years (as on last date of receipt of application); SC/ST: 5 years relaxation; OBC-NCL: 3 years relaxation; Ex-Serviceman: Period of Military Service + 3 years
- Pay Scale: Rs. 19,900 + DA (Skilled Level); Annual increment of 3% on Basic Pay subject to satisfactory performance
Selection Procedure

- Step 2 – Trade Test / Practical Test: Shortlisted candidates appear for Trade Test/Practical Test. Weightage: NCTVT (NAC) Exam – 80%, Trade Test/Practical Test – 20%.
- Step 3 – Merit List Preparation: Merit list prepared based on combined marks in NCTVT Exam and Trade Test/Practical Test. Priority order: (a) AOCP Trade apprentices of Ordnance Factories and Govt/Private Organisations with Govt affiliation; (b) Feeder trade candidates with experience as DBW/CPW on tenure basis and certificate of 3 months training from MIL group; (c) Feeder trade apprentices without 3-month training certificate.
- Step 4 – Document Verification: Candidates qualifying in NCTVT and Trade Test called for Document Verification in order of merit (limited to number of posts notified).
- Tie Resolution: (i) Ex-Trade Apprentice of AOCP Trade; (ii) Ex-Trade Apprentice of Ordnance Factories; (iii) Higher marks in NAC (NCVT); (iv) Date of Birth – elder candidate preferred.
- Note: Post is NOT identified for PwBD candidates. Admit cards/Call letters will be sent by e-mail.

- Contract Duration: Initially for ONE year, extendable up to a maximum of FOUR years (including initial period) based on factory requirement and individual performance.
- Job Specification: Manufacturing and handling military explosives and ammunitions.
- Training: AOCP personnel not having apprenticeship from Ordnance Factories will undergo compulsory ONE MONTH extensive in-house training. Feeder grade candidates will undergo ONE MONTH in-house training + TWO MONTHS On-Job training before deployment.
- Leave: 30 days leave per year (2.5 days credited per calendar month); 1 day Casual Leave per complete month; leave can be accumulated up to 30 days and encashed after one year.
- Benefits: EPF coverage; Employees’ Compensation Act, 1923 coverage; Bonus as per Bonus Act 1965; Night Duty Allowance; Risk Allowance; House Rent Allowance; Company Quarters (where available); Safety and protective gears; Maternity Benefits for female personnel.
- Not Entitled To: Promotions, OT Allowance, Loans/Advances/Interest Subsidies, Medical Facilities, Contingency Advance, School Fee Reimbursement, LTC/LTA, Study Leave, Sponsorship for Higher Studies, or any other benefits admissible to regular workmen.
- Performance Evaluation: Half-yearly basis. Satisfactory & above: annual increment. Poor or below: 3 months to improve; if still poor, services terminated with 15 days’ notice.
- Termination: Either party can terminate with one month’s notice or payment of Basic Pay + DA in lieu of notice.
- Jurisdiction: Any dispute will be subject to courts/tribunals in Jabalpur only.
- SC/ST Candidates: Eligible for second class TA for document verification on production of Govt Bus/Train ticket and Caste Certificate. Must submit Bank Details Form for TA reimbursement. SC/ST candidates must travel at own expense for Trade Test/Practical Test.
- Caution: Candidates are warned against unscrupulous elements promising appointments through illegal means. Selection is purely merit-based and transparent.
