- Qualifying marks: 50% for UR/OBC(NCL)/EWS posts, 40% for SC/ST/PwBD posts.

- Consists of 3 sections: General English & General Knowledge/Awareness (20%), Reasoning, Mental Ability/Computer Application (20%), Domain/Relevant Technical/Subject Knowledge (60%).
- Tie-breaking: Preference given to higher marks in Part-C, then Part-B, then older age.

Posting Location: Oil India Higher Secondary School, Duliajan & Moran and Group Vocational Training Centre at OIL, Field Headquarters in the districts of Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Sivasagar and Charaideo in Assam and Changlang district in Arunachal Pradesh.
Age Limit (as on 07/03/2026):
- Minimum age: 18 years for all posts.
- Age relaxation for PwBD and ESM candidates shall be as per Government of India directives.
- Permanent OIL employees will be allowed age relaxation to the extent of service rendered by them as OIL employees for being considered in direct recruitment subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years.
- Work Contract Labours (WCLs) will be allowed age relaxation to the extent of service rendered by them as Contract Labours through the contractors for execution of OIL’s contractual jobs for being considered in direct recruitment subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years.
- For Instructor posts (INTRM12026, INTRC12026 & INTRP12026): Diploma Apprentice candidate(s) who have successfully undergone and completed Apprenticeship Training in the relevant discipline in Oil India Limited and possess Certificate of Proficiency issued by Board of Practical Training (BOPT), Eastern Region, Kolkata will be given age relaxation over and above the maximum age limit prescribed for different category(s) in this advertisement/notification to the extent of the duration of Apprenticeship Training period they have undergone in OIL.
