Other Important Information
- Legal Status: Individual Consultants shall have the legal status of Independent Consultants and shall not be regarded as staff members or officials of RITES Limited. No employer-employee relationship is established.
- Tenure: Initial engagement is for 12 months, extendable based on performance and project requirement. No extension will be given beyond the age of 65 years.
- Full-Time Basis: Consultants appointed on full-time basis will not be permitted to take up any other assignment during the period of consultancy.
- Payment: Payment will be released within one week after completion of the month based on attendance. No statutory benefits like PF/ESI/Gratuity are admissible.
- Leave: Entitled to leave at the rate of 1.5 days per completed month with no accumulation beyond a calendar year. Women consultants may be eligible for maternity leave as per the Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Act, 2017.
- Tax: Income Tax/TDS will be deducted at source. GST as applicable shall be admissible to the Individual Consultant.
- Notice Period: One month’s notice required from both sides for termination/resignation.
- TA/DA: No TA/DA shall be admissible for joining the assignment, on its completion, or for attending the interview.
- Police Verification: Police verification shall be done as per MHA instructions. Negative verification will result in immediate cessation of contract.
- Conflict of Interest: Consultants must follow all RITES rules and regulations and display utmost honesty and sincerity.
- Confidentiality: Consultants are subject to the Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923.
- Insurance: Consultants are solely responsible for maintaining adequate insurance at their own expense.
- Arbitration: Disputes shall be referred to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), RITES Limited for arbitration.
- Venue: RITES Corporate Office, Shikhar, Plot No.01, Sector-29, Gurugram-122001 OR Regional Office, Kolkata OJAS, 12th Floor, Plot No. DJ-20, Action Area-1D, Newtown, Kolkata – 700160 OR Through Video Conferencing/Online.
- Training/Internship: Period of training/internship shall not be counted towards post qualification experience.
- Remuneration Review: For contracts of more than one year, remuneration may be reviewed annually based on escalation received in client’s fee.
- Deployment: Actual deployment/issue of Offer Letter shall be subject to award of work/project/company requirement and client approval of CVs.
