Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:
- Engagement will be on the basis of a merit list prepared from the percentage of marks in Matriculation (minimum 50% aggregate) + ITI marks in the relevant trade.
- The panel will be based on the simple average of marks in Matriculation and ITI.
- For Matriculation percentage, marks in all subjects will be reckoned (not best of five or any group).
- For ITI percentage, average marks from the consolidated statement for all semesters / Provisional NTC issued by NCVT/SCVT will be reckoned.
- In case of a tie in marks, the candidate with the older age will be preferred. If dates of birth are also the same, the candidate who passed Matriculation earlier will be considered first.
- A final merit list will be prepared cluster/unit wise, trade wise, and community wise in descending order of percentage of marks.
- Candidates finally enlisted will be subject to verification of original testimonials and production of a medical certificate.

- Training Period: 1 year for all trades.
- Stipend: Rs. 9600/- per month for National or State Certificate Holders (as per RBE No.116/2025 dated 11/11/2025).
- No Hostel Accommodation will be provided; candidates must make their own arrangements.
- No Employment Guarantee: Completion of apprenticeship training does not confer any right to absorption in Railway service.
- Age Relaxation: SC/ST: 5 years; OBC: 3 years; PwBD: 10 years; Ex-Servicemen: up to additional 10 years (service rendered + 3 years, subject to minimum 6 months continuous service).
- OBC Certificate: Must be issued on or after 01/04/2025 on Central Government format.
