Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:
- Merit-Based Shortlisting: Provisional selection shall be made based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. In case of equal percentage, date of birth and thereafter date of passing will be used as seniority criteria.
- CGPA Conversion: CGPA shall be converted into percentage as per the norms of the concerned Educational Board/University.
- Document Verification: Eligible candidates will be called for document verification at the establishment office through registered email IDs only. Candidates must furnish original documents and submit self-attested copies and soft copies.
- Medical Examination: Candidates must submit a Medical Fitness Certificate obtained from a Government Medical Officer/Medical Officer of a Government Undertaking at the time of joining.
- Final Selection: Final selection will be based on Interview/verification of documents and submission of Medical Fitness Certificate. Merely attending document verification or medical examination does not guarantee selection.
- Posting: Selected candidates will be posted preferably at given locations in Northern Region & Madhya Pradesh based on their registration location on the portal.

Other Important Information
- Apprenticeship Duration: 12 months from the commencement of the Contract of Apprenticeship.
- Domicile Requirement: Only Indian Nationals who are domiciles of Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Leh Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand are eligible.
- Passing Year: Candidates who passed degree/diploma in or after 2022 are eligible.
- No Regular Employment: AAI has no obligation to give regular employment to Apprentices. This training program shall not create any liability on AAI for providing any job to the Apprentice.
- Ineligibility: Candidates who have already completed or terminated their apprenticeship midway, or are pursuing apprenticeship in other organizations or in AAI with the same qualification level, are not eligible. Candidates who have undergone apprenticeship training/job experience for 1 year or more after attaining essential qualifications are also not eligible.
- Single Discipline: Candidates applying for more than one discipline will not be considered and their application will be rejected.
- No TA/DA: No travel allowance or daily allowance will be provided for attending the interview/document verification.
- Reservation: Reservation for SC/ST, OBC, EWS, and PWBD as per Government of India guidelines is applicable. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD as per Govt. of India guidelines.
- Contract Registration: Selected apprentices must sign and accept the contract of apprenticeship training at the NATS/NAPS portal of the Board of Apprenticeship Training immediately after joining.
- Termination: After 12 months, the Apprenticeship Contract shall automatically cease. Any act of indiscipline may result in cancellation of the contract.
