Selection Procedure

- Written Examination (Objective Type – CBRT/Online Mode): A single-level examination consisting of 3 papers, each of 150 marks and 150 questions (150 minutes duration). Total: 450 Marks.
- Paper 1: General Studies & Mental Ability (Common for all post codes)
- Paper 2: Civil & Mechanical Engineering (Post Codes 1,2,3,4,6,7 & 8) OR Electrical Engineering (Post Code 5)
- Paper 3: Civil Engineering (Post Codes 1,3,4 & 7) / Civil & Mechanical Engineering Common (Post Codes 2 & 6) / Electrical Engineering (Post Code 5) / Mechanical Engineering (Post Code 8)
- No Screening Test shall be conducted irrespective of the number of applications received.
- If the examination is conducted in multiple sessions, normalization of marks will be adopted by the Commission.
- Negative Marking: 1/3rd of marks prescribed for each wrong answer will be deducted (as per G.O. Ms. No.235 Finance Dept., Dt.06/12/2016).
- Computer Proficiency Test (CPT): Practical test of 60 minutes, Maximum 100 marks. Minimum qualifying marks: SC/ST/PBD – 30, BC – 35, OC – 40. Covers Office Automation (MS Office / Libre Office / Apache Open Office).
