- Paper 1: General English, General Studies, Aptitude and Pedagogy – 150 Marks

- Viva-Voce and Classroom Teaching: 50 Marks
- Total Marks: 500
- Candidates shortlisted for Viva-Voce: approximately 3 times the number of advertised vacancies, subject to securing minimum qualifying marks.
- Qualifying marks for Viva-Voce: Aggregate of 33% in both papers combined, with at least 20% in each individual paper.
- For PwBD candidates: Aggregate of 20% in both papers combined, with at least 10% in each individual paper.

- Before filling the Online Application Form (OAF), a candidate must mandatorily register for ONE TIME REGISTRATION (OTR) on the APPSC website https://appsc.gov.in.
- Those who have already registered in OTR need not register again; they can directly login using the same user ID and password.
- Candidates are required to apply online on APPSC website https://appsc.gov.in.
- Submit only a single application. If multiple applications are submitted, the application with the highest Registration ID (RID) will be accepted.
- The online application submission link shall be active from 1700 hours on 26th March 2026 till 1300 hours on 27th April 2026.
- Upload scanned documents: Signature (40-50 kb jpg), recent colour passport size photo (40-100 kb jpg), self-attested photo ID copy, and PwBD disability certificate (if applicable).
- Pay the application fee online: Rs. 150/- for APST candidates and Rs. 200/- for other candidates. PwD candidates are exempted from fee.

- Examination Centres: Itanagar, Naharlagun, Doimukh/Nirjuli, Namsai, Pasighat, Ziro.
- Reservation: 84 posts for Unreserved, 305 posts reserved for APST candidates, 15 posts reserved for PwBD candidates.
- PwBD Categories: One Arm (OA), One Leg (OL), Low Vision (LV) with minimum 40% disability.
- B.Ed (Special Education) is NOT recognized as an alternative professional qualification for TGT (Secondary).
- Students in final year/semester of Bachelor’s Degree/B.Ed are NOT eligible to apply.
- Each candidate is permitted to apply for only ONE TGT (Secondary) post.
