- Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and Maximum 40 years as on 1st July of the calendar year in which vacancies are advertised. Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST and other categories as per government rules.

- Stage 1 – Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025): Candidates must have appeared in PET-2025 and been issued a scorecard. Shortlisting for the Main Examination will be done based on normalized PET-2025 scores (up to 15 times the number of advertised posts category-wise). Candidates with zero or negative scores in PET-2025 will not be shortlisted.
- Stage 2 – Main Written Examination: One question paper with 100 objective/multiple-choice questions, duration 2 hours, total 100 marks. Negative marking of 25% (1/4 mark) for each wrong answer. Subjects: Crop Science (25 marks), Biotechnology/Plant Breeding/Crop Physiology (10 marks), Soil & Water Management (15 marks), Agriculture Extension (5 marks), Agriculture Economics & Schemes (5 marks), Dairy & Animal Husbandry (5 marks), Computer & IT (15 marks), General Knowledge of Uttar Pradesh (20 marks).
- No Interview: Selection is based on written examination only as per UP Group ‘C’ Direct Recruitment Rules 2015 and UP Lower Level Posts Direct Recruitment (Interview Abolition) Rules 2017.
- If the exam is held in multiple shifts/days, normalization of scores will be applied for comparative evaluation.

- Candidates must have appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025) and must have been issued a scorecard by the Commission.
- Login using the PET-2025 Registration Number via OTP sent to the registered mobile number/email.
- After login, personal details from PET-2025 will be auto-populated. Fill in the mandatory educational qualification details.
- Upload/verify photo and signature (auto-populated from PET-2025; no changes allowed).
- Fill in other details including post preference and preferential qualification (if any).
- Read and accept the declaration, enter verification code, and click ‘Save and Submit’.

Other Important Information
- Only candidates who appeared in PET-2025 and have been issued a scorecard are eligible to apply for the Main Examination.
- Candidates marked as ‘Under Investigation (UI)’ or ‘Provisional’ in PET-2025 results may apply provisionally; their shortlisting/selection will be subject to the final decision of the Commission.
- Reservation benefits are available only to domicile residents of Uttar Pradesh. Non-UP residents will be treated as unreserved/general category.
- EWS candidates must possess an EWS certificate issued between 01-04-2026 and 11-06-2026, based on income of financial year 2025-26, valid for FY 2026-27.
- Preferential qualification: (1) Minimum 2 years service in Territorial Army, or (2) NCC ‘B’ Certificate holder.
- Persons with disabilities (PwD) are entitled to 4% horizontal reservation as per UP Government orders. Candidates must indicate their disability category/sub-category in the application.
- Employees serving in state government services are eligible for 5 years upper age relaxation as per GO dated 27-08-2013.
- Chief Minister Fellowship researchers are eligible for age relaxation and preference as per UP Public Services (Age Limit and Preference Relaxation for CM Fellowship Researchers for Competitive Examinations) Rules, 2026.
- Date of birth as recorded in High School (Class 10) certificate is the only valid proof of age.
- Candidates currently employed in Central/State Government must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.
- Male candidates with more than one living wife, or female candidates married to a man with a living wife, are not eligible unless exempted by the Governor.
- If more than one application is submitted, only the last submitted application will be accepted.
- The UP Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act-2024 (dated 06-08-2024) is applicable to this examination.
