Selection Procedure

For Post No. 1, 3 & 5 (Assistant/UDC):
- Written Test: Single Objective type paper, 150 minutes duration (with compensation time for PwBD). 200 questions, 200 marks. Parts: General English (50Q/50M), Quantitative Aptitude (50Q/50M), General Intelligence & Reasoning (50Q/50M), General Knowledge (50Q/50M). Marking: +1 for correct, -0.25 for wrong. Qualifying marks: 50% for UR; 40% for Reserved categories.
- Skill Test (Computer Literacy Test): Candidates shortlisted in ratio 1:5 (max) to category-wise vacancies (min 10 candidates). Passing: 60% for UR; 50% for Reserved. Comprises MS Word (35 marks), MS Excel (35 marks), MS PowerPoint (30 marks). Duration: 75 minutes.
- Final Selection: Based on marks scored in Written Test from among candidates who qualify the Skill Test.
- Tie-Breaker: (a) Marks in ‘General Intelligence & Reasoning ability’; (b) Date of birth (older candidate preferred).
For Post No. 2, 4 & 6 (JPA/Stenographer):
- Written Test: Single Objective type paper, 150 minutes duration (with compensation time for PwBD). 200 questions, 200 marks. Parts: English Language & Comprehension (100Q/100M), General Intelligence & Reasoning (50Q/50M), Quantitative Aptitude & General Knowledge (50Q/50M). Marking: +1 for correct, -0.25 for wrong. Qualifying marks: 50% for UR; 40% for Reserved categories.
- Skill Test: Candidates shortlisted in ratio 1:5 (max) to category-wise vacancies (min 10 candidates). Comprises: (i) Computer Literacy Test (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint – 75 minutes); (ii) Stenography Test (300 words @ 60 wpm dictation – 5 min; transcription on computer – 30 min). Passing: Computer Literacy – 60% (UR), 50% (Reserved); Stenography – max 10% errors (UR), max 12% errors (Reserved).
- Final Selection: Based on marks scored in Written Test from among candidates who qualify the Skill Test.
- Tie-Breaker: (a) Marks in ‘English Language & Comprehension’; (b) Date of birth (older candidate preferred).

- PwBD Certificate: Must be issued by a Medical Board of at least 3 members (one specialist), constituted by Central/State Government. Disability must be 40% or more. Candidates are advised to get manual certificates digitized on UDID portal.
- OBC Certificate: Must be valid as on 16-08-2026 in prescribed proforma for Central Government jobs.
