- Recruitment is open only to Indigenous Inhabitants of Nagaland belonging to any Indigenous Naga Tribe. Non-Indigenous Tribes applicants are not eligible.
- Recruitment will be conducted by a Departmental Recruitment Board (DRB) and authorized District Level Screening Committees (DLSC) simultaneously at all District Headquarters.
- Applicants can apply against only one district. Dimapur/Chumoukedima/Niuland will be considered as one district for this recruitment.
- Candidates must appear for PST, PET, Written Test, and Interview only in the district for which they have applied. Appearance in any other district will result in rejection.
- Backlog vacancies (84 posts) are applicable only for specific tribes/districts that could not be filled in Recruitment-2025.
- The incumbent Constables in Nagaland Police whose appointments have been set aside, and Petitioners covered by the High Court judgments, are also eligible to apply with age relaxation as ruled by the Hon’ble High Court.
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Head of Department is required for Government employees and Public Undertaking employees, including incumbent Constables whose appointments have been set aside.
- Applications with fake/forged documents will be summarily rejected and candidature can be disqualified at any stage including after selection.
- All documents/certificates must have been issued on or before the last date of submission of application.
- Disqualifying medical conditions include: distant vision worse than 6/6 (better eye) and 6/9 (worse eye), Colour Blindness, Deafness, Varicose Veins, Squint Eye, Amputated Limb, Physical Deformities, Flat Foot, Knocked Knees, Bend Elbows, etc.
- Female candidates testing positive in Pregnancy Test shall undergo Basic Training in the next batch; salary will be effective from the date of commencement of training only.
- Post allocation is based on tribal ratio as per 2011 Census, consistent with the preceding Recruitment-2025.
