Selection Procedure

- 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT): Duration – 90 minutes (120 minutes for eligible PwBD). Total 100 questions (1 mark each): General Awareness – 40, Mathematics – 30, General Intelligence & Reasoning – 30. Negative marking: 1/3 mark per wrong answer. Minimum qualifying marks: UR/EWS – 40%, OBC-NCL – 30%, SC – 30%, ST – 25% (applicable to Ex-SM & PwBD as per community). Screening in nature; normalized scores used for shortlisting for 2nd Stage CBT (15 times community-wise vacancies).
- 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT): Duration – 90 minutes (120 minutes for eligible PwBD). Total 120 questions (1 mark each): General Awareness – 50, Mathematics – 35, General Intelligence & Reasoning – 35. Negative marking: 1/3 mark per wrong answer. Same minimum qualifying marks as 1st Stage CBT. Normalized scores used for shortlisting for Document Verification (1:1 ratio of vacancies).
- Note: Computer Based Typing Skill Test (CBTST) for Junior Clerk Cum Typist and Accounts Clerk Cum Typist has been dispensed with for CEN No. 07/2026.
- Document Verification (DV): Candidates shortlisted in ratio 1:1 of vacancies based on 2nd Stage CBT merit. Original certificates and two sets of self-attested photocopies to be submitted. Tie-breaking: older candidate ranked higher; if same age, alphabetical order of given name (A to Z).
