Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:
Stage 1 – Written Examination (Objective Type):
- Paper I – General Studies: 150 questions, 300 marks, 2.5 hours. Topics: Indian History, Freedom Movement, Geography, Indian Constitution, Public Administration, Economy, Environment, Current Affairs, General Science, Computer Knowledge, Chhattisgarh General Knowledge, Intelligence Test.
- Paper II – Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical): 150 questions, 300 marks, 2.5 hours. Candidates must choose one engineering discipline.
- Paper I will be in Hindi and English; Paper II will be in English only.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 40% for General; 30% for SC/ST/OBC candidates in each paper.
- No negative marking.
- Computer Based Test (CBT) may be conducted depending on the number of applicants.
Stage 2 – Interview/Viva Voce:
- Candidates approximately 3 times the number of vacancies (per engineering discipline) will be called for interview.
- Interview carries 75 marks (no minimum qualifying marks for interview).
- If the Commission decides to conduct only interview (based on number of applications), the interview will be of 100 marks with minimum 33 marks required (23 marks for SC/ST/OBC).
Final Selection:
- Merit list will be prepared based on combined marks of Written Examination and Interview.
- Selection will be category-wise as per reservation rules of Chhattisgarh Government.

- Enter the OTP received on your mobile and email, then upload a live photo using the link sent to your registered mobile number.
- Upload your signature (scanned JPG file, max 100 KB) on white paper using a black ballpoint pen.
- After uploading photo and signature, click ‘Save’ and then click ‘Apply’ for the relevant post from your dashboard.

- Pay the application fee and portal fee online using Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or other available payment modes.

- Probation Period: Selected candidates will be appointed on probation for 3 years.
- Disability Eligibility: Only local residents of Chhattisgarh with OA (One Arm), OL (One Leg), or HH (Hearing Handicapped) disability categories are eligible. Other disability categories are not eligible.
- Age Calculation Date: Age will be calculated as on 01.01.2026.
- Age Relaxation for Local CG Residents: Maximum age limit of 35 years has been extended by 5 years (i.e., up to 40 years) for local residents of Chhattisgarh, valid from 01.01.2024 to 31.12.2028. Combined relaxation for all special categories shall not exceed 45 years.
- Reservation: Reservation benefits are available only to domicile/local residents of Chhattisgarh. Candidates from other states belonging to SC/ST/OBC will be treated as Unreserved category.
- OBC Candidates: OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates must submit income certificate issued within the last 3 years from the date of interview.
- No Objection Certificate (NOC): Candidates currently employed in government/semi-government/nationalized banks/private institutions/universities must obtain NOC from their employer before or immediately after applying.
- Exam Fee Refund: Local residents of Chhattisgarh who appear in the written exam/interview will get their exam fee refunded to their registered bank account.
- Error Correction Fee: Rs. 500/- for paid error correction (only gender, date of birth, category, domicile, disability, and ex-serviceman entries can be corrected).
- Admit Card: Admit cards/interview call letters will be uploaded on the official website approximately 10 days before the exam/interview. No individual intimation will be sent.
- Travel Allowance: Unemployed SC/ST/OBC local residents of Chhattisgarh who are not in any service will be reimbursed actual second-class train/bus fare for attending the exam/interview, subject to conditions.
- Selection subject to court orders: The selection process is subject to the final orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in SLP(C) No. 19668/2022 and High Court petitions WPS 4723/2015 and WPS 1995/2017.
