Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:
- Computer Based Test (CBT) / Written Screening Test: Objective type test of 120 multiple-choice questions, each carrying 1 mark, for a total of 120 marks. Duration: 1½ hours (or as decided by the Aayog).
- Syllabus: (i) Subjects/fields up to the level of prescribed essential qualifications; (ii) General Knowledge including General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh, Current Affairs; Everyday Science, Logical Reasoning, Social Science, General English & General Hindi of Matric Standard.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 45% for General category; 40% for SC/ST/OBC/Wards of Freedom Fighters. Relaxation of up to 5% may be granted if insufficient candidates qualify.
- Normalization: In case of multiple shifts, scores will be normalized using Z-Score Method (Mean and Standard Deviation Method).
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.
- Merit List: Final selection based on merit-cum-option-cum-availability of post formula.
- Waiting List/Panel: A category-wise waiting list will be prepared and shall be valid for one year from the date of recommendation.

- Recruitment is scheme-based, temporary for a period of Five (05) Years and not against any sanctioned posts. No right of regularization.
