DBW (Danger Building Worker) Personnel on Tenure Basis
- No. of Vacancies: 400 (UR-176, OBC-NCL-108, SC-40, ST-36, EWS-40, Ex-Serviceman-40 Horizontal)
- Qualification: NCVT NAC in AOCP Trade or Feeder Trades (IMCP, MMCP, LACP, Process Plant Operator, Fitter General, Machinist, Turner, Sheet Metal Worker, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Boiler Attendant, Mechanic Industrial Electronics, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic) from NCVT affiliated institutions
- Age Limit: 18 to 40 years as on 28/03/2026 (Relaxation: SC/ST - 5 years, OBC-NCL - 3 years, Ex-Serviceman - Military Service period + 3 years)
- Pay Scale: Rs. 19,900 + DA per month (with annual increment of 3% on Basic Pay subject to satisfactory performance)
Selection Procedure

- Merit List based on NAC Marks: Candidates will be shortlisted based on marks secured in NCVT (NAC) examination. O.F. Bhandara may decide a cut-off percentage for calling candidates for Trade Test.
- Trade Test / Practical Test: Conducted at Ordnance Factory Bhandara. The test is of 100 marks.
- Weightage: NCVT (NAC) Exam – 80%, Trade Test/Practical Test – 20%.
- Document Verification: Candidates qualifying in NAC and Trade Test will be called for document verification in order of merit. Candidates must bring original documents, Character Certificates from two Gazetted Officers, and Police Clearance Certificate.
- Medical Examination: Provisionally selected candidates may be directed to submit a medical fitness certificate from a Government Hospital. O.F. Bhandara may also conduct its own medical examination before joining.
- Tie-Breaking: (i) Ex-Trade Apprentice of O.F. Bhandara; (ii) Ex-Trade Apprentice of other Ordnance Factories; (iii) Date of Birth – older candidate given preference.

- Contract Duration: Initially for ONE year, extendable up to a maximum of FOUR years based on factory requirement and individual performance.

- Allowances: DA, HRA (as per city classification), Risk Allowance, Night Duty Allowance (in case of exigency), EPF coverage under Employee’s Compensation Act 1923.
- Leave: 30 days leave per year (2.5 days per month); 1 day Casual Leave per complete month.
- Not Entitled For: Promotions, OT Allowance, Loans/Advances, Medical Facilities (except emergency), LTC/LTA, Study Leave, School Fee Reimbursement, etc.
- Feeder Trade Candidates: Upon selection, will undergo ONE MONTH in-house training on safe handling of explosives and TWO MONTHS On-Job Training before deployment.
- Termination: Either party can terminate with one month’s notice or payment of one month Basic Pay+DA in lieu of notice.
- Jurisdiction: Any dispute will be subject to courts/tribunals situated in Bhandara only.
- Caution: Candidates are warned against unscrupulous elements promising appointments through illegal means. Selection is purely on merit.
