- Shortlisting for Written Exam: Candidates will be shortlisted for the Main Written Examination based on their Normalized Score in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025). Category-wise 15 times the number of advertised posts will be shortlisted (including all candidates with the same normalized score up to 2 decimal places at the cutoff).
- Stage 1 – Written Examination (Main Exam): One question paper of 100 objective/multiple-choice questions; total marks 100; duration 2 hours. Negative marking: 25% (1/4) of marks for each wrong answer. Subjects: (a) Introduction to Disability – 25 questions; (b) Child Development and Learning – 20 questions; (c) Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 – 20 questions; (d) Computer and Information Technology – 15 questions; (e) General Information related to Uttar Pradesh – 20 questions.
- Stage 2 – Qualifying Examination (Sign Language / Braille Script Proficiency Test): Candidates shortlisted on the basis of written exam marks will appear for a qualifying proficiency test in Sign Language and/or Braille Script as applicable to the post. This test is qualifying in nature. Posts not requiring Sign Language/Braille Script knowledge will be filled based on written exam only.
- Sign Language Test: (i) Text to Sign Language Conversion – 20+ functional words, minimum 10 correct, 8 minutes; (ii) Sign Language to Text Conversion – 20+ functional words, minimum 10 correct, 8 minutes.

- EWS candidates must possess an EWS certificate issued between 01-04-2026 and 27-04-2026, based on income of FY 2025-26, valid for FY 2026-27.
