- Office Assistants (Multipurpose): Two-tier process – Online Preliminary Examination followed by Online Main Examination. Provisional allotment based on marks in Online Main Examination and actual vacancies reported by RRBs.
- Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager): Two-tier process – Online Preliminary Examination followed by Online Main Examination, and then Common Interview coordinated by Nodal RRBs with assistance of NABARD and IBPS. Final merit based on Online Main Exam (80%) and Interview (20%).
- Officer Scale-II (Generalist and Specialists) & Scale-III: Single Online Examination followed by Common Interview coordinated by Nodal RRBs with assistance of NABARD and IBPS. Final merit based on Single Online Exam (80%) and Interview (20%).
- Interview: Total marks: 100. Minimum qualifying marks: 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates). Applicable only for Officers Scale I, II and III.
- Penalty for Wrong Answers: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer in all objective tests.
- Provisional Allotment: Based on merit-cum-preference, Government reservation policy guidelines, and actual vacancies reported by RRBs.

- Age Relaxation: SC/ST: 5 years; OBC (Non-creamy layer): 3 years; PwBD: 10 years; Ex-Servicemen (Office Assistants): Actual service + 3 years (max 50 years); Ex-Servicemen commissioned officers (Officers): 5 years; Widows/Divorced women (Office Assistants only): Up to 35 years (General/EWS), 38 years (OBC), 40 years (SC/ST).
- Nationality: Citizen of India, or subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or Tibetan Refugee (came before 01.01.1962), or person of Indian origin migrated from specified countries with intention to permanently settle in India.
- Local Language Proficiency: Essential for Officer Scale-I and Office Assistants (Multipurpose) as prescribed by participating RRBs. Candidates who studied the local language up to Standard VIII or above are considered proficient.
- EWS Criteria: Family gross annual income below Rs. 8 lakh; should not own 5 acres or more agricultural land, residential flat of 1000 sq. ft. or above, residential plot of 100 sq. yards or above in notified municipalities, or 200 sq. yards or above in other areas. EWS certificate valid for 2026-2027 (financial year 2025-26) required.
- OBC Certificate: Must contain non-creamy layer clause; issued on or after 01.04.2026 till date of interview/document verification.
- PwBD Reservation: Under Section 34 of Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. Benchmark disability means not less than 40% of specified disability.
- Scribe Facility: Available for eligible PwBD candidates. Candidate must arrange own scribe at own cost. Compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour of examination allowed for eligible candidates.
- Pre-Examination Training (PET): May be arranged online for SC/ST/OBC/Minority Communities/Ex-Servicemen/PwBD (for Office Assistants) and SC/ST/OBC/Minority Communities (for Officer Scale-I).
- Travel Reimbursement for Interview: Eligible outstation SC/ST/PwBD candidates called for interview will be paid II class to & fro railway/bus fare or actual expenses, whichever is less (not applicable to those already in Central/State Government service).
- Examination Medium: Tests available in English, Hindi, and respective regional languages as per State/UT.
- Validity of CRP: Automatically expires one year after the date of Provisional Allotment or until a fresh provisional allotment is made, whichever is earlier.
- Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024: Applicable to all candidates. All offences under the act are cognizable, non-bailable and non-compoundable.
- Jurisdiction: Any dispute arising out of this notification shall be subject to the sole jurisdiction of Courts situated at Mumbai.
