Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:
Stage I: Computer Based Examination (CBE)
- All candidates must appear for a Computer Based Examination (CBE) in their respective trades.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 40% for UR/EWS; 30% for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST categories.
- PwD and Ex-Servicemen: Relaxed minimum qualifying marks of 30% (UR/EWS) and 22.5% (OBC/SC/ST).
- Based on CBE marks, candidates will be shortlisted for Skill Test in a ratio of 1:3 to the number of vacancies (maximum 5 candidates for single vacancy positions).
Stage II: Skill Test & Document Verification
- Shortlisted candidates must undergo Document Verification to confirm eligibility.
- Candidates must then appear for a Skill Test, which is qualifying in nature.
- Final merit list is prepared on the basis of CBE Score after candidates are found Eligible in Document Verification and Qualified in Skill Test.
Preference for Best/Runner-Up Apprentice:
- Best Apprentice at All India SKILL Competitions: Inducted as Artisan Grade-IV with 2 increments.
- Runner-Up Apprentice: Inducted as Artisan Grade-IV at the minimum of the pay scale (Rs 29,500 – Rs 65,000).
- Such candidates must upload their Certificate of Merit and appear for CBE and Skill Test.
