Candidates applying fresh should be between 21 and 38 years old as of January 1, 2023. The birth dates should fall between January 2, 1985, and January 15, 2002.

Age Limit for In-Service Candidates

In-service candidates from the feeder cadre (TGT for Government High Schools under the School & Mass Education Department of Odisha) should not exceed 45 years of age by January 1, 2023.

Relaxation in Age Limits

• General Categories: The upper age limit may relax by 5 years for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Socially and Educationally Backward Classes, Women, and Ex-Servicemen.
• Persons With Disabilities (PWD): Individuals with a permanent disability of 40% or more can avail a 10-year age relaxation.
• Cumulative Benefit for PWD in SC/ST/SEBC: PWD belonging to SC/ST/SEBC categories can benefit from a cumulative relaxation of up to 15 years.

Verification of Birth Date

The Commission will only accept the date of birth mentioned in the High School Certificate or its equivalent issued by the respective Board/Council for determining age eligibility.
