- Selection will be based on merit prepared district-wise on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in the Basic Health Worker (Female) Training Course (ANM Course).
- A batch-wise seniority list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the training course.
- In case two or more candidates obtain equal marks, the candidate with additional qualification (preferential qualification) will be ranked higher.
- If additional qualification is also equal, the older candidate (by age) will be ranked higher.
- If age is also equal, the candidate whose name comes first in English alphabetical order will be ranked higher.
- Preferential qualifications: (a) Minimum 2 years service in Territorial Army, OR (b) ‘B’ Certificate from National Cadet Corps (NCC).

- EWS Reservation: Only permanent residents of Uttarakhand are eligible. No age relaxation for EWS category. Certificates for financial years 2024-25 and 2025-26 only will be accepted.
- Horizontal Reservation: Ex-servicemen (5%), Freedom Fighter Dependents (2%), Skilled Athletes (4%), Uttarakhand Movement Activists/Dependents (10%), Orphan Children (5%) – as per applicable government orders.
- Skilled Athletes: 4% horizontal reservation for medal winners/participants at international/national level sports as per Uttarakhand Public Services (Horizontal Reservation for Skilled Athletes) Act 2024.
- Disability (Divyangjan): The post of Health Worker (Female) has not been identified for Divyangjan reservation as per Government Orders dated 25-03-2011 and 05-06-2023.
