- Tenure: Maximum period of 1 year at a time, or till the vacancy is filled in regular manner, whichever is earlier.
- Continuation: Subject to satisfactory performance during quarterly review.
- Retired Faculties: May continue teaching till they attain 70 years of age, subject to periodical review of satisfactory performance.
- Nature of Engagement: Strictly temporary. No regular, contractual, or ad-hoc appointments shall be made under this arrangement.
- Honorarium (with Ph.D., for PG courses): Rs.1,000/- per class; Maximum 60 classes/month = Rs.60,000/- per month. If more than 40 classes in a month, administrative assignment as given by University from subsequent month onwards.
- Honorarium (without Ph.D., for PG/UG courses): Rs.750/- per class; Maximum 60 classes/month = Rs.45,000/- per month. If more than 40 classes in a month, administrative assignment as given by University from subsequent month onwards.
- Leave: Retired faculties engaged as Guest Faculty will be allowed 10 days leave in a year.
- Tax: Payment of all statutory taxes including income tax is the sole responsibility of the Guest Faculties/Retired Guest Faculties. TDS will be deducted by the University at applicable rates.
- No other allowances or financial benefits are allowed in favour of retired teachers/guest faculties.
- Duties: Teaching, conducting examinations, research guidance, UG/PG research project guidance, co-guiding Ph.D. (depending on qualifications), sponsored research, continuing education programmes, organizing/attending conferences/seminars/workshops (without financial commitment from University), consultancy, guest lectures at other institutions.
- Restriction: Guest Faculties shall not be eligible for holding administrative or financial responsibilities.
- Preferred Specializations: Zoology – Biotech/Biochemistry/Microbiology/Public Health/Bio-Informatics; Chemistry – Chemistry/Bio-Chemistry.
- Addendum/Corrigendum: Any addendum or corrigendum shall be posted only on the University website. Candidates are advised to visit the website regularly.
