Probationary Officer (PO)
- No. of Vacancies: 1500 (SC-234, ST-144, OBC-390, EWS-144, UR-588)
- Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. Final Year/Semester students may apply provisionally subject to passing by 30.09.2026.
- Age Limit: 21 to 30 years as on 01.04.2026 (born between 02.04.1996 and 01.04.2005 inclusive). Age relaxation: OBC-3 years, SC/ST-5 years, PwBD(UR/EWS)-10 years, PwBD(OBC)-13 years, PwBD(SC/ST)-15 years, Ex-Servicemen-5 years.
- Pay Scale: Basic Pay ₹48,480/- (Plus 4 advance increments) in the scale of 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920 (JMGS-I). Approximate CTC at Mumbai: ₹21.97 Lacs per annum.
Selection Procedure

Phase-I: Online Preliminary Examination (August 2026)
- Objective Test – 100 Marks, 1 Hour
- English Language: 40 Questions – 20 minutes
- Quantitative Aptitude: 30 Questions – 20 minutes
- Reasoning Ability: 30 Questions – 20 minutes
- No sectional cut-off; top ~10x vacancies per category shortlisted for Main Exam
Phase-II: Online Main Examination (September 2026)
- Objective Test – 200 Marks, 3 Hours (4 Sections with separate timings):
- Reasoning & Computer Aptitude: 40 Qs, 60 Marks, 50 min
- Data Analysis & Interpretation: 30 Qs, 60 Marks, 45 min
- General Awareness/Economy/Banking Knowledge: 60 Qs, 60 Marks, 45 min
- English Language: 40 Qs, 20 Marks, 40 min
- Descriptive Paper (Communication Skills) – 30 Marks, 30 Minutes: Email, Situation Analysis, Report/Precis Writing
- Sectional cut-offs apply; top ~3x vacancies per category shortlisted for Phase-III
Phase-III: Psychometric Test, Group Exercise & Personal Interview (October/November 2026)
- Psychometric Test (personality profiling – mandatory)
- Group Exercise: 20 Marks
- Personal Interview: 30 Marks
- Total Phase-III: 50 Marks
Final Selection:
- Candidates must qualify both Phase-II and Phase-III separately
- Marks normalized: Main Exam (Phase-II) out of 75, Group Exercise & Interview (Phase-III) out of 25 – Total 100
- Final merit list prepared on aggregate of normalized Phase-II and Phase-III scores
Penalty: 1/4th mark deducted for each wrong answer in Objective Tests (both Preliminary & Main).

- Scan and keep ready your photograph, signature, left-hand thumb impression, and hand-written declaration as per specifications in Annexure-II.
- Click on ‘Apply Online’ under ‘Current Openings’ and fill in the application form carefully.
- Upload photograph, signature, left-hand thumb impression, and hand-written declaration at the specified spaces.
- Capture and upload a live photograph via webcam or mobile phone during registration.
- Review the application thoroughly before final submission. No changes will be allowed after final submission.
- Pay the application fee online using debit card / credit card / Internet Banking / UPI.
- On successful payment, an e-receipt and application form will be generated — print and retain for records.

- Advertisement No.: CRPD/PO/2026-27/09
- Bond: Selected candidates must execute a bond of ₹2,00,000/- to serve the Bank for a minimum of 3 years from the date of joining.
- Probation Period: 2 years as Probationary Officer; continuous assessment during probation; confirmed in JMGS-I on qualifying assessment.
- Number of Chances: UR/EWS – 6 chances; UR(PwBD)/EWS(PwBD)/OBC/OBC(PwBD) – 9 chances; SC/SC(PwBD)/ST/ST(PwBD) – No restriction. Appearing in Main Examination counts as a chance; Preliminary Examination does not.
- CIBIL: Candidates with adverse credit history must regularize/repay all outstanding dues on or before the date of joining.
- Pre-Examination Training (PET): Available online for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates in July 2026. Candidates must opt for PET in the online application.
- Scribe Facility: Available for PwBD candidates with 40% or more disability. Compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour of examination is also provided.
- Biometric Verification: Photo and thumb impression/IRIS scan may be captured at various stages.
- Identity Proof: Candidates must bring one photo identity proof (Passport/Aadhaar/PAN Card/Driving License/Voter ID etc.) at the time of examination.
- Interview Travel Reimbursement: Outstation candidates called for interview will be reimbursed Railway AC-III fare (shortest route) or actual expenses, whichever is lower.
