Total: 100 Questions, 200 Marks. Time: 1 hour (with sectional timer of 15 minutes each). Negative marking: 0.50 marks per wrong answer. Tentative Schedule: August–September 2026.

- Visit the official SSC website at https://ssc.gov.in or download the ‘my SSC’ mobile application from Google Play Store.
- Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new website if not already done. Note: OTR from the old website (https://ssc.nic.in) will not be functional.
- Opt for Aadhaar Based Authentication during OTR for a smoother application process.
- Log in using OTR credentials and proceed to fill the online application form for CGL 2026.
- Capture your photograph as prompted by the application module (no pre-existing photograph allowed unless using Aadhaar authentication).
- Upload scanned signature in JPEG/JPG format (10–20 KB), dimensions approximately 6.0 cm (width) x 2.0 cm (height).
- PwBD/PwD candidates must upload Certificate of Disability as applicable.
- Select three examination centres in order of priority within the same SSC Region.
