Selection Procedure

- Objective Type Test (40 Marks, 45 minutes): Consists of two parts – Part A (General: General Knowledge, General English, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude – 5 questions each) and Part B (Discipline Related – 20 questions). Each question carries 1 mark. No negative marking.
- Descriptive Type Test (40 Marks, 90 minutes): Discipline-related questions.
- Certificate Verification: Candidates scoring minimum pass marks in Phase I will be shortlisted for certificate verification (minimum ratio of 6 candidates per post in order of merit).
- Phase II – PowerPoint Presentation on Work Experience (20 Marks): Duration not more than 10 minutes. Held at UCSL Malpe/Kochi or through electronic media.
- Minimum Pass Marks:
- UR & EWS: 50% of total marks in each test.
- OBC: 45% of total marks in each test (for OBC reserved vacancies only).
- SC: 40% of total marks in each test (for SC reserved vacancies only).
- Final Rank List: Prepared based on total marks in Phase I & Phase II. Tie-breaking: marks in Objective Type Test, then seniority in age.

- Contract Period: Five years, subject to project requirements and individual performance.
- Place of Posting: UCSL Kochi / Malpe or any other UCSL units/project sites. Candidates are liable to be transferred to different units/work sites/projects anywhere in India.
