Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:

Computer Based Test (CBT): A Common Recruitment Examination (CBT) will be conducted for all notified posts (AEE/Electrical, AEE/Civil, AEE/Telecom) jointly for APCPDCL, APTRANSCO, APEPDCL, APSPDCL, and APGENCO. The CBT will be conducted from 22.08.2026 to 29.08.2026 with a duration of 3 hours. The test will be in English only and will have 100 marks (Core: 70 marks + General Intelligence & Reasoning: 5 + General Awareness: 7 + English Language & Comprehension: 5 + Quantitative Aptitude: 8 + Computer Knowledge: 5). There are no negative marks.
Minimum Qualifying Marks: OC/EWS: 40%, BC: 35%, SC/ST/PwBD: 30%.
Normalization: Normalization procedure/technique will be adopted for multi-session CBT.
Initial Key & Objections: Initial key will be published after CBT; candidates can file objections online within 7 days. Final key will be released after disposal of objections.
Merit List Preparation: Merit list will be prepared based on CBT marks. In case of tie, older candidate ranks higher; if age is also equal, the candidate who acquired the qualification earlier ranks higher.
Certificate Verification: Candidates in the merit list (1:1 ratio against vacancies) will be called for certificate verification.
Selection List: Final selection list will be prepared from candidates found eligible after certificate verification, strictly in order of merit and as per Rule of Reservation and roster points.

Bond Period: Selected candidates must execute a Service Bond to serve APCPDCL for a minimum of 5 years after completion of the 2-year probation period (total bond period: 7 years). Original certificates (Degree, Date of Birth, Community) must be deposited with APCPDCL during the bond period.
