Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:
- Computer Based Test (CBT): A Common Recruitment Examination (CBT) will be conducted for all notified posts (AEE/Electrical, AEE/Civil, AEE/Telecom) jointly for APCPDCL, APTRANSCO, APEPDCL, APSPDCL, and APGENCO. The CBT will be conducted from 22.08.2026 to 29.08.2026 with a duration of 3 hours. The test will be in English only and will have 100 marks (Core: 70 marks + General Intelligence & Reasoning: 5 + General Awareness: 7 + English Language & Comprehension: 5 + Quantitative Aptitude: 8 + Computer Knowledge: 5). There are no negative marks.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: OC/EWS: 40%, BC: 35%, SC/ST/PwBD: 30%.
- Normalization: Normalization procedure/technique will be adopted for multi-session CBT.
- Initial Key & Objections: Initial key will be published after CBT; candidates can file objections online within 7 days. Final key will be released after disposal of objections.
- Merit List Preparation: Merit list will be prepared based on CBT marks. In case of tie, older candidate ranks higher; if age is also equal, the candidate who acquired the qualification earlier ranks higher.
- Certificate Verification: Candidates in the merit list (1:1 ratio against vacancies) will be called for certificate verification.
- Selection List: Final selection list will be prepared from candidates found eligible after certificate verification, strictly in order of merit and as per Rule of Reservation and roster points.
- Allotment: Allotment to respective utilities (APCPDCL/APTRANSCO/APEPDCL/APSPDCL/APGENCO) and zones will be based on merit, reservation, local candidature, availability of vacancies, and preferences exercised by candidates in the online application.

- Pay the application fee of Rs.1000/- through the Payment Gateway between 30.06.2026 and 20.07.2026. A ‘Journal Number’ will be issued upon receipt of fee.
- Complete the registration process by clicking the provided link. An OTP will be sent to the Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
- Login using the credentials and fill in all required information including educational qualifications and academic details.
- Upload scanned copies of all relevant documents/certificates (passport size photo, signature, educational certificates, community certificate, etc.).
- Submit only one online application through the Common Recruitment Portal for the notified post and exercise preferences for participating Power Utilities and Zones/Units.

Other Important Information
- Bond Period: Selected candidates must execute a Service Bond to serve APCPDCL for a minimum of 5 years after completion of the 2-year probation period (total bond period: 7 years). Original certificates (Degree, Date of Birth, Community) must be deposited with APCPDCL during the bond period.
- Liquidated Damages: Candidates leaving during probation must refund emoluments received plus Rs. 5,00,000/-. Candidates resigning before completing 5 years post-probation must pay Rs. 10,00,000/-.
- Probation: 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years.
- Induction Training: All selected candidates must undergo Induction Training before posting orders are issued.
- Posting: Candidates shall be posted to field offices in rural areas or anywhere within APCPDCL jurisdiction. No transfer requests to office/headquarters will ordinarily be entertained during the initial tenure.
- Reservation: Vertical reservations for SC (Gr-I, II & III), ST, BC (A, B, C, D & E), EWS; Horizontal reservations: 33⅓% for Women, 4% for PwBD.
- Local Area: Districts of NTR, Krishna, Guntur, Palnadu, Bapatla, Prakasam, and Markapuram, plus 8 Mandals of Eluru district under APCPDCL jurisdiction.
- Integrity Declaration: Any attempt to bring external pressure or influence at any stage of recruitment will result in permanent disqualification.
- Public Examinations Act: The Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024 applies; offenders may face imprisonment up to 5 years and fine up to Rs. 10,00,000/-.
