Selection Procedure:

Computer Based Test (CBT): A Common Recruitment Examination (CBT) shall be conducted for all posts (AEE/Electrical, AEE/Civil, AEE/Telecom) jointly for APTRANSCO, APEPDCL, APCPDCL, APSPDCL, and APGENCO. The CBT will be conducted from 22.08.2026 to 29.08.2026 with a duration of 3 hours. The test will be in English only.
Exam Pattern: Total 100 marks — Core Subject: 70 marks; General Intelligence & Reasoning: 5 marks; General Awareness: 7 marks; English Language & Comprehension: 5 marks; Quantitative Aptitude: 8 marks; Computer Knowledge: 5 marks. No negative marking.
Minimum Qualifying Marks: OC/EWS: 40%; BC: 35%; SC/ST/PwBD: 30%.
Normalization: Normalization procedure/technique will be adopted for all posts.
Initial Key & Objections: Initial key will be published after CBT; candidates can file objections online within 7 days. Final key will be released after disposal of objections.
Merit List Preparation: Merit list prepared based on CBT marks. In case of tie, older candidate ranked higher; if age is also equal, the candidate who acquired the prescribed qualification earlier is ranked higher.

Probation Period: 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years. Consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs.75,000/- during probation.
Service Bond: Candidates must execute a Service Bond (on Non-Judicial Stamp Paper worth Rs.110/-) to serve APSPDCL for a minimum of 5 years after completion of probation (total bond period: 7 years). Original certificates (Degree, Date of Birth, Community) shall be deposited with APSPDCL during the bond period.
Liquidated Damages: Leaving during probation: refund of emoluments received + Rs.5,00,000/-. Resignation before completing 5 years post-probation: Rs.10,00,000/-.
Field Posting: Selected candidates must work in field offices (Operation Sections/MRT/DPE/Construction Divisions), preferably in rural/remote locations, for a continuous period of not less than 5 years from the date of initial appointment. No transfer requests to office/headquarters shall be entertained during this period.
Reservation: 33⅓% for Women (horizontal); 4% for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (horizontal). Vertical reservations for SC, ST, BC (A, B, C, D, E), and EWS as per applicable rules.
Induction Training: All selected candidates must undergo Induction Training before posting orders are issued.
