Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:
- Computer Based Test (CBT): A Common Recruitment Examination (CBT) shall be conducted for all posts (AEE/Electrical, AEE/Civil, AEE/Telecom) jointly for APTRANSCO, APEPDCL, APCPDCL, APSPDCL, and APGENCO. The CBT will be conducted from 22.08.2026 to 29.08.2026 with a duration of 3 hours. The test will be in English only.
- Exam Pattern: Total 100 marks — Core Subject: 70 marks; General Intelligence & Reasoning: 5 marks; General Awareness: 7 marks; English Language & Comprehension: 5 marks; Quantitative Aptitude: 8 marks; Computer Knowledge: 5 marks. No negative marking.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: OC/EWS: 40%; BC: 35%; SC/ST/PwBD: 30%.
- Normalization: Normalization procedure/technique will be adopted for all posts.
- Initial Key & Objections: Initial key will be published after CBT; candidates can file objections online within 7 days. Final key will be released after disposal of objections.
- Merit List Preparation: Merit list prepared based on CBT marks. In case of tie, older candidate ranked higher; if age is also equal, the candidate who acquired the prescribed qualification earlier is ranked higher.
- Certificate Verification: Candidates in the merit list (1:1 ratio against vacancies) shall be called for verification of original certificates.
- Final Selection List: Prepared after certificate verification, strictly in order of merit and in accordance with Rule of Reservation and roster points.
- Allotment: Candidates shall be allotted to respective utilities (APTRANSCO/APGENCO/APEPDCL/APCPDCL/APSPDCL) and zones based on merit, reservation, local candidature, availability of vacancies, and preferences exercised in the online application.

- Pay the application fee of Rs.1000/- through the Payment Gateway to receive a Journal Number.
- Complete the registration process by clicking the provided link. An OTP will be sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
- Log in using your credentials and fill in all required information including educational qualifications and academic details.
- Upload scanned copies of all relevant documents/certificates (passport size photo, signature, community certificate, educational certificates, etc.).
- Submit only one online application through the Common Recruitment Portal for the notified post and exercise preferences for participating Power Utilities and Zones/Units.
- Ensure all certificates are uploaded before the last date; Hall Ticket will not be generated without uploaded certificates.

Other Important Information
- Probation Period: 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years. Consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs.75,000/- during probation.
- Service Bond: Candidates must execute a Service Bond (on Non-Judicial Stamp Paper worth Rs.110/-) to serve APSPDCL for a minimum of 5 years after completion of probation (total bond period: 7 years). Original certificates (Degree, Date of Birth, Community) shall be deposited with APSPDCL during the bond period.
- Liquidated Damages: Leaving during probation: refund of emoluments received + Rs.5,00,000/-. Resignation before completing 5 years post-probation: Rs.10,00,000/-.
- Field Posting: Selected candidates must work in field offices (Operation Sections/MRT/DPE/Construction Divisions), preferably in rural/remote locations, for a continuous period of not less than 5 years from the date of initial appointment. No transfer requests to office/headquarters shall be entertained during this period.
- Reservation: 33⅓% for Women (horizontal); 4% for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (horizontal). Vertical reservations for SC, ST, BC (A, B, C, D, E), and EWS as per applicable rules.
- Induction Training: All selected candidates must undergo Induction Training before posting orders are issued.
- Jurisdiction: APSPDCL covers 9 districts: SPSR Nellore, Tirupati, Chittoor, Annamayya, YSR Kadapa, Nandyal, Kurnool, Ananthapuramu, Sri Sathya Sai.
- No Waiting List: There shall be no waiting list. Unfilled posts shall be carried forward to future recruitments.
- Biometric Verification: Candidates shall be subjected to biometric verification at the examination centre.
- Prohibited Items: Mobile phones, calculators, electronic devices, smart watches, Bluetooth devices, etc., are strictly prohibited at the examination/certificate verification venue.
- Public Examinations Act: The provisions of the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024 apply. Offences are cognizable, non-bailable, and non-compoundable; punishment may include imprisonment up to 5 years and fine up to Rs.10,00,000/-.
