Selection Procedure

Trade Test / Practical Test: Candidates will be shortlisted based on marks obtained in NCTVT (NCVT) Trade Test / Practical Test in merit order. The cut-off percentage for calling candidates for the Trade Test will be decided by Academy of Weapon Technology & Management, Ichapur based on total marks in NCTVT.
Merit List: The merit list will be prepared based on combined marks of NCTVT examination and Trade Test/Practical Test with weightage of 80% (NCTVT) and 20% (Trade Test/Practical) respectively.
Document Verification: Candidates qualifying in both NCTVT and Trade Test/Practical Test will be called for document verification in merit order. The number of candidates called for document verification will be limited to the number of notified posts (discipline/category-wise). The ratio of vacancies to candidates called for interview is 1:10.
Medical Fitness Test: Selected candidates will have to undergo a medical fitness test before appointment.

Place of Posting: Gun and Shell Factory, Kashipur (a unit of AWEIL Kanpur).
Contract Duration: Initially 1 year on full-time contractual basis, extendable up to a maximum of 2 years (1 year original + 1 year extension) based on evaluation and review.
Working Hours: 8 hours/day, 6 days/week (48 hours/week).
Benefits: EPF as per applicable laws; Employees’ Compensation Act, 1923 coverage; HRA if quarters not provided; Maternity Benefit Act, 1961 for female employees; Safety gear/equipment as per company norms; Company holidays as applicable to regular employees; 12 days paid leave per year (pro-rata).
Not Eligible For: Promotion, OT allowance, loans/advances/interest subsidy, medical facilities (except emergency), contingency advance, school fee reimbursement, LTC/LTA, study leave, sponsorship for higher studies, or any other benefit not specifically mentioned.
Termination: Either party can terminate with 1 month’s notice or payment of Basic Pay + DA in lieu of notice.
