- Tenure: The post of Senior Residents are tenured positions for 1 year only. Selected candidates are to compulsorily complete the one year period.
- Total Vacancies: 234 (provisional and likely to increase or decrease).
- Eligibility: Eligibility shall be as per the National Medical Commission regulations. Candidates must be registered in the AP Medical Council.
- Age Limit: Must not cross the age of 44 years as on date of notification. (50 years for pre-clinical and para-clinical subjects such as Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology and Forensic Medicine).
- Local Candidature: Local Candidates to AP state are eligible for selection. Non-Local candidates with AP Medical Registration are eligible for Senior Residency if local candidates are not available. A candidate who studied at least 4 years from 4th to 10th in AP is considered a local candidate. In case of study of 4th to 10th in Telangana and migrated to AP after bifurcation, certificate from the revenue authorities as per G.O.Ms.No.132 & 133 GA (SPF&MC) Dept. 13.06.2016 is required.
- Remuneration: Rs. 80,500/- PM for Broad Specialties as per G.O.Ms. No. 723 HM&FW (C1) Department, Dt: 04.12.2024.
- Senior Residents already working in the Government Medical Colleges of AP are not eligible to apply.
