Selection Procedure

Selection Procedure:

Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted for Trade Test (Practical) on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in the final examination of NTC/NAC. In case the candidate possesses both NTC and NAC, the percentage of marks of NTC will only be considered. Candidates will be called for Trade Test at 2 times the number of positions to be filled, in order of percentage of marks.
Trade Test (Practical): Shortlisted candidates will be called for a Trade Test (Practical) which will be of qualifying nature only. Candidates who fail in the Trade Test will be disqualified. The syllabus will be as per trade test specification of semi-skilled grade of the relevant trade.
Merit: Final merit will be decided solely based on percentage of marks obtained in the final examination of NTC/NAC.
Resolution of Tie (in order of preference):
1. Ex-Trade Apprentices of Ordnance Factories will get preference in case of tie.
2. The candidate older in age will get preference.
3. Alphabetical order of names.

Nature of Engagement: Fixed Term Full Time Contract Basis only. Initial period up to a maximum of 2 years; total engagement period up to 5 years (including extensions).
Place of Posting: OLF Dehradun (A Unit under India Optel Limited). Liable to be transferred anywhere in India as per company requirement.
Annual Increment: 3% of basic pay per year (rounded off to next ₹10), subject to satisfactory performance.
Remuneration: Pay Level ₹20,000–₹65,000 + Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA) + House Rent Allowance + Medical Allowance ₹1,500 per month.
Benefits: EPF (12% of Basic Pay + DA), ESIC, Bonus (if applicable), Gratuity (on completion of minimum 1 year), Maternity/Paternity Leave, Retention Bonus @ 25% of last month Basic Pay per completed year (payable after contract completion), Leave encashment up to 15 days per year.
